11 percent represents a new low. Look at the chart and especially the table below the chart at the Gallup URL.

In the real world if you had a confidence level of 11% doing your job you would be out the door long ago !

From my perspective, 11% is too high.

I am actually more disgusted with the GOP side of the aisle than I am with the RATs.

At least, the RATs are honest about what they are and where they are headed.

I can’t say the same for the GOP.

11% is way too high for this insidious bunch.

No, the question is what's wrong with the other 89%?If the approval of the job congress is doing is so low...then what are the other 89% doing about it?

Interesting. I.heard on FOX News that people trust the media even less than Congress.

I respect the mafia more than the clan O’Clowns that we have in congress.

Watch and see, we will get a whole new congress this year. I was around in ‘94 and people are much angrier this time. I predict a net gain of 61 seats.

...hopefully in 3 more months that question will be addressed.

I hold out no such "hope." At 11% approval rating only the corrupt are in charge. I surmise the congress doesn't care what we think, what we approve of or disapprove of because they already know what the Nov. elections will bring. Even if new people take the seats of old congress critters...things will not change as drastically as we "hope." Just look at that new RINO Brown.

A government at an 11% approval rating is either on the brink of collapse or violent revolution. The 89% are only now realizing we don't matter. They will use the elections to deceive us...again.

Do you mean to tell me that 11% actually have confidence in Congress??? And they’re running around loose???

Scott Brown is just doing what McCain would do if he wasn’t running for re-election this year.

If “Con” is the opposite of “Pro”, then what is the opposite of “Progress”?

The 11% are a minority.

If 89% disapprove...then why is Congress running around loose?

I completely agree. The republican party has become completely worthless in it present form. We talk endlessly here about dumping the dems but really we should be talking in terms of removing the republicans. At least, as you said, the dems are being true to their plank. What the heck are the republicans doing? They whine some but really haven’t offered anything of substance nor have they stood up to the dem stupidity. Frankly, I dont think they understand any better than the dems the founding principles of this country. Theyre certainly inept at articulating the conservative position. A good house cleaning from top to bottom in DC is really what needs to occur.

In the end tho its us, the electorate, who sets the tone. If we continue sending fools to DC we shouldnt expect a stellar outcome. The DC culture says volumes about us. So, while the DC pols do deserve a good beating the most necessary reform is w/ us not them.

Ya gotta good point, EB. If the truth about those thugs, parasites, and criminals were made public and if justice ruled, they would not be running around loose. (Those are big IF’s, aren’t they?)
