Maybe their automated system deletes, without human intervention, if there are a certain number of complaints about a posting. They need to instead have a moderator review before allowing deletions. Works on FR!
It does ... but there are way too many people and way too many posts to have a person manually reading every complaint. It would cause the whole Facebook thing to collapse of its own weight, if they were to assign people to do that. You can only do it - if it doesn't get beyond a certain number of posts and people. Facebook is way way beyond that ...
I hope the "intolerant group" that "refudiated her" isn't takng names. :)
Sorry for the length...but here is the whole text of her post in case no one else has posted it. If they have, then I also apologize for the duplication.
An Intolerable Mistake on Hallowed Ground Share Today at 10:47am Earlier today, Mayor Bloomberg responded to my comments about the planned mosque at Ground Zero by suggesting that a decision not to allow the building of a mosque at that sacred place would somehow violate American principles of tolerance and openness. No one is disputing that America stands for and should stand for religious tolerance. It is a foundation of our republic. This is not an issue of religious tolerance but of common moral sense. To build a mosque at Ground Zero is a stab in the heart of the families of the innocent victims of those horrific attacks. Just days after 9/11, the spiritual leader of the organization that wants to build the mosque, Imam Faisal Abdul Rauf, suggested that blame be placed on the innocents when he stated that the United States policies were an accessory to the crime that happened and that in the most direct sense, Osama bin Laden is made in the USA. Rauf refuses to recognize that Hamas is a terrorist organization dedicated to the destruction of our ally, Israel, and refuses to provide information about the sources of funding for the $100 million mosque. Rauf also plays a key role in a group behind the flotilla designed to provoke Israel in its justifiable blockade of Gaza. These are just a few of the points Americans are realizing as New York considers the proposed mosque just a stones throw away from 9/11s sacred ground. I agree with the sister of one of the 9/11 victims (and a New York resident) who said: This is a place which is 600 feet from where almost 3,000 people were torn to pieces by Islamic extremists. I think that it is incredibly insensitive and audacious really for them to build a mosque, not only on that site, but to do it specifically so that they could be in proximity to where that atrocity happened. Many Americans, myself included, feel it would be an intolerable and tragic mistake to allow such a project sponsored by such an individual to go forward on such hallowed ground. This is nothing close to religious intolerance, its just common decency.

Well, I just duplicated it below on this thread...so copy and paste at will...unless MY post gets deleted! :)
Hello, dear lady! My personal feeling is that truth can’t be repeated often enough, especially in this day and age.
Yep! City squares all over the country will be filled by old ladies knitting while they watch endless lines of "target-rich environment" participants climb the stairs...
Good evening! You are exactly right and that is why I just
had to post what she said...so it can’t be distorted and
perverted without having the evidence at hand. (I also saved
it to my FB inbox. LOL)
Sarah is a beacon of the truth, as is “your” very brave and
intelligent Michele Bachmann. She rocks out loud in my book!
The Tea Party Caucus was simply brilliant on her part!
She and Sarah together? A solid bedrock of truth!
There is now.
smoke + fog = smog.
Now we have REFUDIATED.
See? You share a mindset, and maturity level, with a fringe liberal.
Not really surprising. People such as yourself, and 'moneyries', aren't balanced. If everything doesn't go 'your way', you react as a child would who doesn't wish to obey a parent's demand.
The child will also behave like this towards siblings who the former deems did something wrong. Exaggerating a situation, or acting like a situation is of much more importance than it really is, faking outrage, being hypocritical - then telling the parent, (or moderator), gleefully hoping the sibling gets disciplined.
To put it simply, so you'll better understand, you and moneyries may start out a different places, and travel completely different routes, yet at some point each of you will be found at the same destination.
Ironic, isn't it? That a Palin hater such as moneyries can be used as an example for you.
FR runs on volunteers, FB would have to pay people. Automated systems are cheaper.
FaceBook now should know that the auto-ban feature should be disabled for prominent posters, or at least should require human review. And if the human determines that certain people are abusing the "abuse" button, it should result in the COMPLAINERS being flagged.
You know, that's exactly right.
Suppose we even accept the proposition (oft-claimed, but little evidenced) that 99% of Muslims are peaceful, non-Jihadist "regular folks", and that our problems stem solely from the extremist 1%, the 10 or 15 million "radical Islamists". Your argument still applies.
If an extremist "Presbyterian Liberation Front" group had blown up the Federal Building in Oklahoma City, you wouldn't find many Presbyterians demanding to build a Presbyterian church on the site. Even if we rightly maintained our innocence regarding the actions of the extremists, we wouldn't ask to build a Presbyterian church on the graves of their victims. We'd kinda realize that doing so would be just rude to the families of the dead, if nothing else! We wouldn't have to have it explained to us...
Of course, that's even without mentioning the probably-intolerant observation that, relative to Muslim extremism, you really don't see very many Presbyterians blowing up any buildings at all.
Here is one for them... if you are a leftist... I DESPISE YOU ALL... and you had better pray to whatever false gods that you animals believe in, that society NEVER breaks down...
Will somebody please tell this “journalist” that the word is REPUDIATED, not Refudiated!
Har Har. I think that Money is looking rather suave, versus toad-like. If anyone looks amphibious, it’s yours truly.
