Lies and misrepresentations from the media are rooted in American history going back to the NYSlimes printing FAVORABLE articles about Nazi Germany.

Lies and misrepresentations from the media predate NYT's favorable articles about Nazi Germany by more than 200 years. The media nowadays is tame compared to what it was in the time of this nation's founding. Outright slander in those days was common.....

The problem today is that sometime during the 1920’s onward, the media started to sell itself as non-partisan and unbiased; simple honest men who only wanted the truth to get out. The Associated Press was the main culprit in this, and they have spent the last 80 years trying to convince us that this is so.

You know your history well, but the last several decades of media manipulation was done under the guise of the myth of the “honest reporter”, set forth by Hollywood in the 1930s and 40s and people like Edward R Murrow, Walter Cronkite, and David Brinkley.

Most Americans in the last half of the 20th Century fell for it, and we're still suffering the ramifications today. It would be far, far better for us if we did go back to the openly partisan coverage of yesteryear. The modern myth is a great falsehood!
