Correction - typo...."Did-honorable" should be "Dis-honorable".

Adam Clayton Powell never "did" anything honorable in his entire career.

Except for possibly the racist part, wasn’t that John Murtha as well?

Yeah, Murtha was another American hero gone bad.
Whether or not he was a racist himself I don’t know, but he played the race card against other democrats who were not backing zerobozo back during his campaign. He said that whites who were not for Obama were racists.

He was another greedy scumbag, but he was pro-life and against gun control, a few steps above Rangel, imho.

Yep! Adam Clayton Powell. I will never forget a quote from one of Powell's Harlem supporters. It shows why they supported him and Rangel so overwhelmingly. The supporter was quoted by media as answering when asked about Powell's corruption charges and his reelection--"Man, that N!&&&# sho do know how to live." Seems they vicariously enjoyed his high (and highly corrupt) life style.

Seems like he and Charlie also have in common the love of Caribbean living. As I recall, Powell also had a villa there.

Good memory. The corrupt DC gangsta Rep. Adam Clayton Powell, Rangel's predecessor, had a residence in Bimini, which is actually in the Atlantic Ocean, not the Caribbean as is generally thought.

Bimini is the closest point in the Bahamas to mainland USA (Florida).

It was and is a favorite tropical island for well-heeled, notable fishermen such as Ernest Hemingway, Jimmy Buffett and Zane Grey.

The high-living Powell died in Miami in 1972 at the age of 64. He was cremated and his ashes were scattered on Bimini.

I understand the area where his remains were strewn is still fetid, radioactive hot and contaminated.....oh, wait, that's BIKINI island I'm thinking of, not Bimini.

My error......sorry.

LOL

Whenever I see Charlie Rangel's processed hair, it reminds me of Cab Calloway.

Cab had class and was a talented man. Charlie is an a$$ and his only talent is theft.

I wish he'd hurry up and die already, and save the cost of a trial.
