White House backed release of Lockerbie bomber
The Australian ^ | July 26, 2010 | Jason Allardyce and Tony Allen

THE US government secretly advised Scottish ministers it would be "far preferable" to free the Lockerbie bomber than jail him in Libya.

Correspondence obtained by The Sunday Times reveals the Obama administration considered compassionate release more palatable than locking up Abdel Baset al-Megrahi in a Libyan prison.

Well, I never had any doubt that Obama admin approved. The only reason Chucky cheesy Schumer and a few others are pretending to be outraged is because they worried the truth might come out.

This may be something that finally blows up in his ugly mug.

If this news isn’t a major Republican TV ad in the next campaign cycle, my checkbook will remain slammed shut as far as the GOP is concerned. Sometimes things get handed to you on a silver platter, and if you are too stupid to take advantage you deserve to remain a loser.

Well, I never had any doubt that Obama admin approved.

Of course he approved. A high profile terrorist responsible for the deaths of so many Americans would never be released without consultation with the US government.

The proof is on the pudding as they say and the White House pudding is getting awfully interesting.
Now we find out the real truth that Obama and his fellow Travelers not only gave the Okay but probably helped orchestrate this travesty to begin with.
What we are seeing is one sell out after another to Terrorism, National Security and our Military.
Obama seems to know no bounds as to the Treasonous acitivites he is engaging in.

The bus is being warmed up in the basement of the state department, target the minister in London who wrote the letter. Obviously he did not do it with the approval of either the commie king or his red queen at state.

Scotland released this terrorist prisoner with the strong support, not opposition, of the Obama admin.

Forget the Republicans, their just as corrupt as the Democrats and have no guts or Leadership.
They have had and have every opportunity to to something and have failed every time.
They are worthless and weak and perhaps it is time for a new party.
The Whig party went by the wayside and the Republicans came into being now we need another avenue and choice.

Can’t imagine that Barry didn’t also give an informal green-light to releasing Polanski too. Since there’s no scrutiny of Barry’s activities by the press we’ll never really know what went down in that case.

Wasn’t this already confirmed, at least admitted back when it happened? I recall threads here when the guy was getting out, we were all criticizing, my memory has it that not only did the White House okay the release, but in her role as Sec of State, former NY Senator Hillary Clinton had given her okay. Somewhere in the memory banks is Schumer giving some okee dokee as well — I guess I’m having a hard time understanding this “What, who, gee?” unless it’s the BP connection, the release because of an oil deal part of it.

“If this news isn’t a major Republican TV ad in the next campaign cycle, my checkbook will remain slammed shut as far as the GOP is concerned. “

Not too hard to make it an issue. Show the wreckage, a few words from family members and, if possible, show the hero’s welcome that the terrorist received. We will, of course, be called unfair - but is it any worse than showing a truck being driven around with a chain behind it (used in 2000 to fire up blacks against Bush).

Helping to release this animal just shows how incompetent the administraton is and how depraved it’s ideology.

Don’t really have a problem with this one, actually, considering that it has always looked really likely that Libya had nothing to do with it and it was Iran who was behind the attack (and this isn’t a conspiracy theory, google for Iran Lockerbie and there’s boatloads of newspaper articles about it).

I mean this looks terrible that the only guy who was convicted of a civilian bombing is sent back to live a normal life, but it’s Iran that is the guilty party here.

(Please tell me you were just venting...)

No, the solution is to take over the existing Republican party and that process is already well underway. It will be a slow methodical grind, but it can be done. Just look at the way the Democrat party has been completely taken over by communists.
