Burma is working on a nuclear weapons programme, experts have concluded, after its existence was exposed by leaked photographs.

Burma is working on a nuclear weapons programme, experts have concluded, after its existence was exposed by leaked photographs. Intelligence monitoring of the country’s arms purchases from North Korea has been intensified as a result. Satellite tracking and electronic surveillance in particular have been stepped up. Concerns over the regime’s attempts to develop a nuclear bomb prompted the US State Department to demand last week that the ruling junta disclose an inventory of its nuclear technology.

BURMA!

Second Old Women:
Why did you say Burma?

I panicked.

Burma, officially the Union of Myanmar, is a poor country that is ruled by a socialist dictatorship as bad as the Pol Pot regime that did genocide in Cambodia 1975-79. For its rulers to waste money on nuclear weapons when its people are poor and oppressed is a moral crime. This criminal government, like N. Korea, wants the bomb to scare off the international community from acting to kick the regime out. This game works for Iran and N. Korea, so Myanmar is doing it too.

according to Than Shwe’s past rhetoric, Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai Provinces in Thailand would be among their first acquisitions (Tak and Kanchanbury likely as well). This is consistent with their moving their capital for defensive reasons.

This is getting ridiculous.

We could all die any day."

...Bush’s fault...

Love it. Yea the libs will say it. 'It has to be all Bush's fault.'

But the real subject is not Burma.

Logic says, lets deal with Iran first.

First we got the bomb, and that was good,
‘Cause we love peace and motherhood.
Then Russia got the bomb, but that’s okay,
‘Cause the balance of power’s maintained that way.
Who’s next?

France got the bomb, but don’t you grieve,
‘Cause they’re on our side (I believe).
China got the bomb, but have no fears,
They can’t wipe us out for at least five years.
Who’s next?

Then Indonesia claimed that they
Were gonna get one any day.
South Africa wants two, that’s right:
One for the black and one for the white.
Who’s next?

Egypt’s gonna get one too,
Just to use on you know who.
So Israel’s getting tense.
Wants one in self defense.
“The Lord’s our shepherd,” says the psalm,
But just in case, we better get a bomb.
Who’s next?

Luxembourg is next to go,
And (who knows?) maybe Monaco.
We’ll try to stay serene and calm
When Alabama gets the bomb.
Who’s next?
Who’s next?
Who’s next?
Who’s next?
