"A plethora of government-enforced diversity policies have marginalized
many white workers. The time has come to cease the false arguments and
allow every American the benefit of a fair chance at the future . . . In an
odd historical twist that all Americans see but few can understand, many
programs allow recently arrived immigrants to move ahead of similarly
situated whites whose families have been in the country for generations."
-- Sen. Jim Webb (D-Va.), in a Wall Street Journal column calling for an end to government-run diversity programs

He must plan on switching parties. The whole Democrat adgenda is based on social engineering and division in to groups competing for the table scraps of government programs.
He's a D. I don't believe him for a second.
Afirmative action is dead, Obama has replaced it with good ol’ fashioned Quotas.
Affirmative action is quotas. Just a more pleasant name.
Government-run diversity programs are illegal and unconstitutional. Every government agency that promotes them is breaking the law.
(some laws are invalid and illegal from the moment they are passed)
Webb is a very “Old School” Democrat.
Webb realizes he’s going to get his head handed to him in 2012 if he doesn’t distance himself from the Obama policies.
He’s still very much a D.
I don’t think there’s a Obama/Reid/Pelosi bill he hasn’t voted for.
The financial “reform” bill he supported also has race and gender preferences.
He’s up for reelection in 2012 and he’s scared that he’s going to be riding out of DC on Obama’s coattails.
