Suspects nabbed by ICE-led task force accused of document fraud
Federal agents on Saturday raided a Houston flea market and arrested 18 suspects wanted in connection with selling fraudulent documents, authorities said.
More than 100 federal agents and local police served the federal arrest warrants Saturday afternoon at the Sunny Flea Market, located on Airline Drive near Gulf Bank Road.
The members of a multi-agency anti-fraud task force piled out of unmarked trucks and vans around 2 p.m.
Witnesses reported that some agents screamed "Don't run!" in Spanish as people fled the flea market.
Michael Feinberg, the acting special agent in charge for investigations for Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Houston, declined to provide details on Saturday about the specific type of document fraud the suspects were accused of committing, saying they were selling a "variety of IDs."
Lance Solano, a 29-year-old illegal immigrant from Guerrero, Mexico, said he was at the flea market shopping for phone cards when he heard yelling and saw the agents pouring out of vehicles.

The Obama admin continues to tolerate this ntl-security nightmare of illegals using multiple identities for fear of offending the Mexican government, the National Council of La Raza, and other immigrant advocates....all of whom are providing Democrat voters to endangered Dems. This outrage is burdening taxpayers and polluting our election system----b/c these criminals adopt multiple fraudulent identities.
Evidence shows illegals establish several identities with phony SS nos and fake documents (which these "poor immigrants" buy from document brokers for several thousand dollars). Illegals also get their anchor babies SS nos. They then use the SS nos to establish fake identities.

2 Texans accused of planning to sell counterfeit IDs
NORTH BERGEN -- (AP) 07/21/06---The Pelcastre brothers were a walking threat to national security -- expert document forgers who, for a few thousand dollars, could give anyone a new identity, authorities said Thursday. When police stumbled across the pair, the men had turned a hotel room into a business office and were readying a massive cache of fake Social Security cards for delivery to a local identity broker, authorities said.
The brothers, Angel, 31, and Jorge, 34, both of Dallas, were a "one-stop shop" for a myriad of government documents, including birth certificates, Social Security cards, driver's licenses for any state in the country , including passports and resident alien cards, said state police.
If a terrorist were able to get their hands on this stuff, they'd have free passage throughout the country.
A L/E task force happened upon two cars bearing Texas plates in the parking lot of the hotel . Authorities wouldn't identify the hotel by name for fear it could hinder cooperation from other hotels in future investigations or spark retribution from savage blood cartels. The L/E task force regularly runs checks on motor vehicles in area motels.
Members of the task force began watching the cars, a Chevrolet Impala and a Pontiac Firebird, and followed the brothers to an office supply store in a nearby shopping center, where the men purchased computer supplies. Officers then followed the brothers to a self-storage facility where they loaded several boxes from a storage unit into one of the cars.
One of the men stood lookout, which heightened police suspicion. Authorities approached the men when they returned to the hotel and questioned them separately. The brothers consented to a search of their cars, hotel room and the storage facility, he said.
Police recovered laminating sheets with built-in security features, pages of blank documents waiting for fake names and information, finished documents, computers and software to create the fake IDs.
All told, the haul was worth about $500,000 on the street. Police also recovered $6,000 in cash, which was the first payment from a fake document broker for a shipment of 500 Social Security cards.
"They were aggressively selling to brokers. This isn't like selling driver's licenses to individuals. These were multiple layers of high-level documents."
The brothers were being held without bail on charges of possessing fraudulent documents and conspiracy to sell fraudulent documents. Federal charges are also pending against them.

Witnesses reported that some agents screamed “Don’t run! We are just here to pass out voters cards to you so you can vote for the Democrat candidates. Also here’s $100 of Obama Money for your time and inconvenience.” in Spanish as people fled the flea market.
"We are just here to pass out Democrat voters cards to you so you can vote for Democrat candidates. And Democrat Obama is giving you undocumented Democrats $100 each, and a free Taco Bell burrito coupon, for your time and inconvenience."
Brilliant!!
“Displaced travelers! We bring you maps to go north!”
On a related note, it was also amazing (and disgusting) to see numerous stalls that were selling sexually-suggestive clothing for small children, and I'm not talking subtle here. None of these outfits were large enough for a child older than maybe four or five, yet they were child-sized versions of streetwalker-wear and were covered with sexually-suggestive sayings. If you've never seen this you might think I'm exaggerating, but if you've witnessed it first hand then you know exactly what I'm talking about. But I'm sure that if you pointed it out, you'd just be labeled a "racist" who doesn't understand their culture. Well, they've got the second part right - judging by what I've witnessed (and much more), I certainly don't understand that kind of culture.
Well that slap on the wrist is sure to sting, have they set bail and turned them lose yet??
