Gibson's Racist Rant Triggers Immigration Complaint (Minutemen Fink on Mel)

TMZ has learned Mel Gibson got ratted out to the government after an immigration group heard him use a derogatory term for illegal aliens -- and the complaint could spark an investigation into who's working for Mel.

The San Diego Minutemen tell TMZ they dropped a dime on Mel with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) because they heard him refer to one of his domestic workers as a "wetback" during the secretly-recorded rant at Oksana Grigorieva.

The Minutemen are volunteers whose mission is "to demand maximum border security and immigration enforcement" -- and we're told Gibson's use of the epithet led the group to wonder if he is employing illegal immigrants. So they called the ICE hotline last week to report Gibson.

The Minutemen tell TMZ they were told an investigation would be opened

I would guess that the complainant assumed that Mel was employing illegals, if he referred to them as “wetbacks.” However, racists often use that term to refer to legal immigrants as well.

I am confused. The Minuteman group ratted on Mel Gibson because they THINK he is employing illegal immigrants based on his use of the term “weback”? Although pejorative, I always thought that term was merely a slang expression. And why are these so called Minutemen doing the commie thing and turning in people for government investigations based on words supposedly heard from a neurotic celebrity? Are they that crazed about illegal immigration that the very hint of someone employing them sends them into a frenzy?

I’m told by someone who supposedly did construction work for Mel that Mel likes to hire “wetbacks.” That makes him a source of the illegal immigration problem.

...That makes him a source of the illegal immigration problem.

He's just a source, but THE source is in Washington DC.

Mel would do well to take a vow of silence for a couple of years. The fact is that the media’s out to do to him the same thing that happened to Christ, and they don’t need a crucifix to do it. That being said, he doesn’t have to make it easy for them, that’s a personal choice.

Probably some dumb butt (First Barack Idiot Stoolie) infiltrated the group to spy on them. Their purpose to snitch or disseminate any condemnation of those law breaking illegal aliens.
Gibson has a right to his opinion and we should never forget our first admendment rights.

....funny how folks get all upset if a Mexican is called a ‘wetback’...but if a white man is called a ‘gringo’, not a peep...how did it come to pass in this country that the anglo/european-judeo/christian culture has to walk on egg shells lest they ‘offend’ some minority?

The only reason the media has turned on Gibson, is that he’s considered “conservative.”
Remember Michael Richards’s racist rant? The media dropped it because Michael Richards is a certified liberal nut.

because they heard him refer to one of his domestic workers as a "wetback"

I thought he said that he WASN'T hiring a "wetback" as a nanny? Wasn't that the argument with the Russian?

So....Mel favors illegal Mexicans from Texas (wetbacks) vs the illegals from say CA, AZ or even NM?

Was this a status symbol in his neighborhood? "My Mexican is better than yours 'cause he came across in Texas."

The term derives from the One southern state (TEXAS) that has a water border with Mexico. Where they travel after that is up to the Feds.

Even if they are OTM, the term applies.
