Where is the Republican platform? I hear they're all scared again and acting too wimpy to agree to one...Paul Ryan's is apparently too "mature" to embrace. Argghh!

Man o man, I agree with him 100%. There seems to be a disease among Republicans that we, their constituents, are too touchy feely to agree to something mature or realistic. It's like the "we want the media to like us so badly we will do anything" syndrome.

This hardly qualifies as an ‘Editorial’....
The GOP platform will be coming out in September some time. Not much point in bringing it out when nobody is really paying attention.
The Republicans sole purpose is to serve as an ineffective alternative to the communists.
It is a mistake to think they would actually try to implement the ‘will of the people’ should the communists ever let them back in charge. Their only purpose in that event would be to ‘take the fall’ for the failure of communist policies and accelerate the move toward one-world government.
They are ALL too busy serving themselves to do much for the country!!
The Republican party hasn’t changed. I hope no one here is counting on them to be any different once we elect them this fall. They always cater to conservatives when they’re running & then throw us under the bus once they get elected.

And I agree with it. Those who know Republicans involved with writing the platform, contact them. And if it turns out with these planks in it, IT NEEDS TO BE WELL PUBLICIZED!

Things improve - the Democrats will take the credit & Obama will have a good chance to get a second term. OR -
If things get worse - the Democrats will blame the Republicans & Obama will have a good chance to get a second term.
The Dems are masters at this folks - better be careful what you wish for!

Republicans are running on ‘we are not democrats’ this year (similar to democrats 2006) but that alone will not fly in 2012. They will have to come up with something that sounds plausible.
Democratic elected officials represent their voters.
Republican elected officials FEAR their voters. The GOP leadership will do a lot to make sure their voters don't awaken.
And, I must say, George W. Bush was/is exhibit #1.
There is a huge chasm between the Conservatives and the Republicans. Republicans can no longer take Conservative votes for granted. Look at Newt. He is championing RINOs as they will help the Republican Party (NOT!). He is a Republican first and only.
That’s why we don’t have a “Republican” stance. The party is fractured because Conservatives have said ENOUGH! No more RINOs. No more uncontrolled spending. And it doesn’t matter which party you belong to, if you believe this, you’re going to be targeted. Each member is running individually, with RINOs running scared.
Actually, the GOP 'leadership' will do a lot to make sure the elected representatives don't try to implement the will of the people who elected them.
There is no real two-party system. It's all just theatre...
GOP leadership cares more at getting a ‘seat at the dinner table’ with the lefties and being liked by the media than actually agreeing on a plan.
Umm. The ‘Pubbies had alternatives for health care, the budget, etc. The MSM decided we didn’t need to hear about it and let Pelosi and co. say stuff like “Where is your alternative?” without challenge.
The same probably is occurring here. The ‘Pubbies have a platform: Make the Bush tax cuts permanent, roll back health care rationing, etc. But you’re not going hear a darn thing from the MSM.

Where is the Democrat platform?
Worms have no backbone to stand up.
Those 5 things sound exactly like Rand/Ron Paul’s platform. Perhaps a tad on the light side, but all in all, very much so.
I also happen to agree with all 5 points.
