After thinking about this I have come to the conclusion that the Mexican drug cartels own our government. Think about it. Why else would the government leave the border open? They are getting paid off... big time.
Juan McCain strikes again. Thank you, AuntB.
I can see November from Arizona and I live in Mississippi.
When the idea of secession gets into your brain it becomes an obsession. I have been cursed with this for years. Unfortunately there is only one cure.
“How soon can this get to SCOTUS??”
I believe SCOTUS meets again in October.
“Mexican drug cartels own our government”
I suspected that back when GW Bush called Minutemen ‘vigilantees’.
Among other things, still intact are sections that prohibit sanctuary cities, allow individuals to file suit against public officials who ignore immigration laws, prohibit day laborers from blocking traffic, and permit arrest of those who are harboring or transporting illegal aliens.
So, for example, when his wife is hauling around a convicted and previously deported felon, they can now not only prosecute him, they can prosecute his wife. Properly worked, there’ll be some interesting unintended consequences from this decision.
Even if voters become more motivated, now Mexico can bus in foreign voters to Arizona, right? Looks like we might see an interesting new political makeup in Arizona soon.
“I hope JD is paying attention.”
He wrote a book on immigration, and he has a pulse.
Really wish an illegal alien would run against some huge lib somewhere, stating that he/she has a right to run for the office...
Spot on, well said
One of the sections that was not invalidated makes it illegal for government officials to instruct their employees not to enforce immigration laws. Essentially, that eliminates sanctuary cities, and it’s sanctuary cities that prohibit law enforcement to inquire about immigration status. So, I read the decision the same way you do, inquiry is permissible, there’s just no mandate.
It already happened. 0b0z0 ran against Hillary...and won.
Our government or certain people in our government, Bush, McCain.........
No, it is to keep Mexico from becoming a third world war zone......nope, that isn't right, because it already is!
The whole Mexico/US seems more like the Israeli/Palestinian issue to me everyday.
“The socialists will attempt to inflame and infuriate us with rage, and hope we explode.”
Andrew Jackson: “Justice Marshall has made his decision. Let him enforce it.”
I hope Governor Brewer realizes how Governor Jindal made Obama blink several times over the barrier island matter. It takes courage, but I don’t think BO wants to make a martyr of her. Imagine if he sent Federal marshalls to arrest her. It would destroy his entire party.
Anyone surprised?
I’m not.
Thank you!
DISGUSTING!!!!
Go, Governor Brewer!!!! Fight to overturn that clintonite judge’s ruling!!!! I shall continue to pray for the people of Arizona and her Governor.
And foreign countries should have NO SAY WHATSOEVER in how the US, or any State in our Union, deals with immigration. The same goes for State Department types who pander to foreigners. America has the right to deport all illegals, and to restrict immigration as she choses, without foreign interference!!!!
