Per Beck: This change of 4 words is to be voted on TODAY. W.House proposal would grant FBI access to Internet activity records without court order 29 Jul 2010 The Obama administration is seeking to make it easier for the FBI to compel companies to turn over records of an individual's Internet activity without a court order if agents deem the information relevant to a terrorism or intelligence investigation. The administration wants to add four words -- "electronic communication transactional records" -- to a list of items that the law says the FBI may demand without a judge's approval. Government lawyers say this category of information includes the addresses to which an Internet user sends e-mail; the times and dates e-mail was sent and received; and possibly a user's browser history. It does not include, the lawyers say, the "content" of e-mail or other Internet communication

White House proposal would ease FBI access to records of Internet activity

Much activity on commercial sites involves encoding a SKU or other identifier of an item being purchased in the URL. This proposal should be killed to a quick death.
The administration has asked Congress to amend the statute, the Electronic Communications Privacy Act, in the fiscal year that begins in October.
Reference sites for this law:
From the WaPo article—this is the info the Feds want without a warrant (P2):
“Administration officials noted that the act specifies in one clause that Internet and other companies have a duty to provide electronic communication transactional records to the FBI in response to a national security letter.
But the next clause specifies only four categories of basic subscriber data that the FBI may seek: name, address, length of service and toll billing records. There is no reference to electronic communication transactional records.”
Per Beck: He & his site would have to turn over his electronic records w/ information AND NOT TELL HIS LISTENERS/CUSTOMERS that this was done.
Things are moving right along, aren’t they?
Persons, houses, papers, effects.....nope, doesn’t say anything about Data in here.
The next American President will be elected with a single campaign promise: “I will undo EVERYTHING Obama has implemented!”
Indiana’s Mike Pence said just that on the Greg Garrison WIBC radio show this morning. He said that with control of the House, they, republicans, would not fund health care until 2012 when real health care reform can be made. Pence vowed to fight to repeal Obamacare. He, also, said that Obama would veto attempts to stop health care reform
An ironic claim, in more than one sense of the word.
You’re right. These aren’t errors or misunderstandings and, like you said, we’re way beyond hypocrisy. If I’m suprised at anything it’s how bold the left has become. They think either we don’t know or we don’t care or we’ll never do anything about it.
Gotta keep after those opposed to so-called gay marriage, those who support deporting illegals...
