After the judge's ruling on the Arizona immigration law yesterday, it didn't take long for the media to display the heartwarming saga of illegal immigrants coming to the US.
Cue the violin.
From ABC News:
An Immigrant's Story: Smuggled by 'Coyotes' in Search of Better Life
Immigrant? They won't even call them "undocumented" anymore? Legal immigrants from all over are now vomiting - all over.
"Juan Garcia talks openly about his illicit, harrowing overnight excursion through the Sonoran desert from Mexico into Arizona."
""I was very, very afraid," said Garcia, in elementary English, of the night he and a dozen others set out, walking single-file through the sand. "I didn't know what was going to happen after I walked five miles from where I was." He was 16 at the time."
"Two human smugglers, so-called "coyotes," led the way through the frigid February darkness to the U.S. border, Garcia said. He had paid $500 down and would owe $1,800 more on the other side, if he made it."
""I didn't know if they would hit me or kill me or if I was going to die," he said, "but I didn't have a choice.""
Uh, no choice? Did somebody put a gun to your head? I mean, before you paid the coyotes? Garcia had $2300 to pay coyotes at age 16? Didn't he know that he quite possibly could have been the first teenage millionaire in Mexico?
But it doesn't end there.

When I read this kind of claptrap, it reminds me of some of the contestants on "America's Got Talent", who think they should win a talent contest because they "want it soooo bad...", whined through teary eyes. And almost all of them do it, or have some sad tale about their childhood, or no parents, or homeless...just some sob story to try and sway the judges.
But it's a talent contest, not a session of democrat congress.
It has always been the democrats thing - victimhood trumps all...they think.
A black congressman once railed about how the sharks still swim the same route - to this day - where all the slaves were thrown overboard on their way to America. The Indians have their "trail of tears"...and now those poor mexicans - who brave a frickin' desert - die in pursuit of a better life (you know, free housing, free welfare, free education, free healthcare).
No one ever mentions the people who founded the USA; they also died on boats on the way over, they died from diseases, harsh winters, wild animals, indians, starvation, etc....oh...but most were white, I guess that doesn't count.
Almost any endeavor pursued by mankind has dangers...driving to work probably claims more victims everyday than crossing that desert; accidents at work (even illegals at work) probably claims more lives than crossing the desert to come here illegally in the first place.
Right now, America is really not in the mood to give a $h!+ that these invaders didn't succeed in their CRIME of entering our country illegally. Most would prefer we guard our borders with pill boxes, some even say land mines.
It's a bad time to try and draw a tear from most Americans - well, maybe the obamabots...but they're only crying because they lost a potential (but illegal) vote. But don't worry libs...another one will take his ID off his dead body, and VOTE TWICE.
It's always amazing that most Americans have to PAY TO VOTE (Taxes), while the illegal aliens get PAID TO VOTE
(welfare, healthcare, etc). If my Father were to be reincarnated today his first question would be "What country IS this, anyway?".

If my Father were to be reincarnated today his first question would be "What country IS this, anyway?".Every morning I wake up, turn on the news and see Hussain saying or doing something stupid and I ask myself the same question.
