Should Arizona secede?
WashingtonTimes.com ^ | July 29, 2010 | Jeffrey T. Kuhner

Judicial activism is pushing America to the breaking point. This week, a federal judge blocked key provisions of Arizona's immigration law, thwarting the will of the people. The decision was ominous and will reverberate for years to come.

Judge Susan Bolton, appointed by former President Bill Clinton, is a liberal elitist who believes judicial imperialism trumps democracy. Her ruling states that local police cannot check the immigration status of people arrested or stopped for violations of the law. In her view, that would amount to an abuse of civil liberties and unduly burden the federal immigration system. She also stipulated that residents cannot be required to carry proof of legal status.

As a side note relating to judges this is occurring in Israel.

Shiloh, Israel’s Capital for 400 Years, Being Uncovered
by Gil Ronen

In Shiloh, north of Beit El, excavations are currently being carried out under the auspices of the Archaeological Staff Officer for Judea and Samaria in the IDF Civilian Administration Antiquities Unit and the Binyamin local authority.

Shiloh was where the Holy Sanctuary – precursor to the Holy Temple – stood for about 400 years during the era of the Judges.

It is first mentioned in the Book of Joshua, which also states that the Holy Sanctuary was built there. In the Book of Samuel, Shiloh is mentioned as a religious center, where Elkana and his family go to give sacrifices to G-d. During that pilgrimage, Elkana’s wife, Hana, asks G-d to give her a son – and eventually gives birth to Samuel the Prophet.

Shiloh is believed by researchers to have fallen into ruin after the Israelites’ unsuccessful war with the Philistines, in which the enemy took the Holy Ark captive. The Ark was soon returned to Israel, but was never brought back to Shiloh. Instead, it was taken to Kiryat Yearim until King David had it delivered to Jerusalem.

Archaeological findings indicate that a Jewish presence continued at Shiloh until the year 722 BCE, when the Kingdom of Israel was defeated by Assyria. According to the Book of Judges and the Mishna, unwed Jewish women traditionally went to the vineyards of Shiloh to dance on Tu B’Av.

“He will try to be Lincoln and call on Americans to kill their former brothers. The question is how many will answer his call?”

It is ironic that this country would experience an explosive and precipitous Federal Usurpation spearheaded by a tall lanky fellow from IL who seems determined to exploit every crisis and expand the rift in the country that has become more and more charged - into two completely divided camps and that he will do whatever it takes to impose the will of the mostly northern liberal-leaning states on the mostly southern and western conservative states.

The real problem with Arizona succeeding is the millions of Americans who will want to move there. The state cannot handle that much population.

The threat from illegals will be over, though, cause all those moving in will be bringing their guns.

Arizona should just ignore the ruling. The Governor should tell the Judge, “You made your ruling/injunction now how will you enforce it?” What’s Obama gonna do? Arrest the Governor? Call in the Military? Good luck with that.

Should Arizona secede?

LOL! The clown prince is just waiting for an excuse to order a "Sherman's March to the Sea" through a series of red states...

Agreed. People who care about this country in all parts of it should work together to get rid of this mess in Washington and change the politics that support it.

We the American tax payer should use their logic against them, by that I mean if none of use paid our taxes would it not prove that we would be placing undo pressure on the government to collect those taxes so they should not even bother to collect them?

Hyperbolic would be assuming a new crop of republicans would offer any more resistance to presidential and judicial tyranny than the current crop of weepublicans. But nice word usage.

The equation is real simple:

Two peoples, one in favor of individual liberty and the other wanting to enslave everyone, cannot and will not live together. History tells us that.

It’s gonna be a bitch...but these leftists aren’t going away...look around, we got legalized thuggery at the polls, a POtuS we know NOTHING about, a federal usurpation that would make Lincoln blush and a DOJ that answers to no one.

Look around.

This is not simply socialist creep, a push from a small number of radicals; it is the rush of the left, abetted by many around the world, to finally end our grand experiment.

Will the resistance to this virulent, leftist imposition of will end in a heated debate and resolution through the ballot box, or will it create a resurgent Free Republic, the mounting of a resistance that forces some of us to become rebels?

Ladies and Gentlemen: The CORRECT answer is for a 2nd Constitutional Convention to be held...we only need 1 or 2 more states to agree...and for that august body to then DISSOLVE the United States of America! With that dead carcass out of the way, the delegates could then form a NEW government, one that is of, by, and for the PEOPLE!
