President Barack Obama has kept mum on the fate of Rep. Charles Rangel (D-NY) for days -- but he tells CBS News that it's time for the embattled 80-year-old former Ways and Means Chairman to end his career "with dignity."
"I think Charlie Rangel served a very long time and served-- his constituents very well. But these-- allegations are very troubling," Obama told Harry Smith in an interview to be aired on the "Early Show." and first broadcast on the CBS Evening News with Katie Couric.
"And he'll-- he's somebody who's at the end of his career. Eighty years old. I'm sure that-- what he wants is to be able to-- end his career with dignity. And my hope is that-- it happens. "
WOW did I read that correctly???? Did Rangel just get a seat under that bus???? Hardy har har!!!
My first question is “Who is the Marxist Obama has in mind to fill the seat?”

How can one end one’s career with dignity when one has no dignity. rangle should end his career in an orange jump suit and doing the frog march. Corrupt loser. Criminal. As old as he is, it would be too bad his likely life sentence would be so short.
Ah...here we are. I’ve been wondering about this. I suspected once I saw the actual charges detailed that the Dems might be trying to usher Rangel aside to make room for new blood that might be more compliant. Barack’s statement here fits that theory, they want new representation for Harlem.

Unbelievably stupid of Ob to openly use Rangel’s age against him like that. Elderly people need to take notice of Ob’s dismissive attitude toward the aged. This is the second time Ob has basically marginalized people because of their age. Remember that during the campaign he said that it might be better for an old person to “take the pill” instead of getting surgery. Somebody needs to use Obama’s disdain for the elderly against him.

To carry on the bus metaphor . . . wasn’t the whole civil rights movement of the ‘60’s started by one black lady wanting to sit in the front of the bus? And now, several decades later, the bus is being driven by a black man who doesn’t care who gets run down by the bus.
