Arbitrarily granting citizenship to illegals is not necessarily a boon for the Left.

Factoring work ethic, taxation, Christianity, and adjustments in labor costs, the political outcome may wash out to a split possibly favoring Republicans.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the RINOs are considering this possibility hoping for political balance well before 2012 should “reform” go through.

So Romney may get the nomination and win the Presidency? He won't be the President of the United States. President of something, maybe, but it will not be America. Amnesty finishes us.

Most Latinos are Catholics, many in the liberation theology vain. Those will vote leftist.

Also, Latin America has a tradition of "caudilloism". They are far more likely to vote for a big-government strongman-type politician (Obama, Chavez) than a rugged individualist-type politician (Reagan).

Hispanics already vote something like 65%-35% in favor of Dems. What makes you think the current crop of illegals would vote any differently?

So wrong it's not funny. Open your eyes FRiend. Do you believe illegal Mexicans have a superior "work ethic" than American citizens? You don't know many illegals then. Their work ethic is no shining example, it's more or less average.

Taxation. Are you kidding me? Illegals don't pay any income tax as it is. If they do file, they will get the EIC, which will get them a fat check from the government every year, depending on how many "dependents" they have. Do you expect that person to vote for someone who says they will take that away? That's crazy talk.

Christianity? Catholicism is rife with leftist leadership which can be counted on to reinforce socialist ideas. Like the bishops do now. Like they do in Mexico.

Adjustments in labor costs. Right. Another way of saying "declining wages for Americans". You can stuff that.

Mexicans vote Democrat. Obama took 67% of them. Why do you think the Democrats want more of them legalized? Tell me again how conservative Hispanics are. Pandering to non American Hispanics is a fools errand; we need to promote constitutional conservatism and let the chips fall where they may.

Illegals are NOT GOOD FOR THIS COUNTRY. In any way, manner, shape, or form. They are squatters who send on average $2400 per year of the wages they make OUT OF THIS COUNTRY. A tax free subsidy for Latin America. Any wonder all of our friends in Latin America want us to have "Amnesty"?
