WASHINGTON (AP) — A second House Democrat, Rep. Maxine Waters of California, could be facing an ethics trial this fall, further complicating the midterm election outlook for the party as it battles to hold onto its majority.
People familiar with the investigation, who were not authorized to be quoted about unannounced charges, say the allegations could be announced next week. The House ethics committee declined Friday to make any public statement on the matter.
Waters, 71, has been under investigation for a possible conflict of interest involving a bank that was seeking federal aid. Her husband owned stock in the bank and had served on its board.

I can hear her now. “Isn’t it amazing that the all white ethics panel only choosez to file complaints against blacks for actcs that white representatives are guilty of and never charges”. “It is obvious Racism”. Maxine is a real bomb thrower that doesn’t hesitate to use the race card. I don’t know if the words above will be what she says, but you can bet the farm that the meaning will be the same.
Probably half of congress should be in jail. Why are Charlie and Maxine getting the bum's rush now?

The bank was extremely important to the minority community, and, because of it’s “importance,” that’s why her husband was a Board member. That he bought stock in the bank to support it, because of it’s “importance.” That she helped direct funds to it, because of it’s “importance.” And, because of it’s “importance to the minority community, this attack on her is a racist attack by Republicans and by the Tea Party. She’ll be exonerated, because of it’s “importance!”
Because they have "limited out" on the amount of graft and corrupt money that they are allowed to take from the American people and are now required to go quietly into plush retirement". Others in Washington fear that there won't be enough for their own 'graft and corruption' retirement kitty.

Republicans should run ads about this Democrat sleaze but the Dems will probably scream racism and turn it into an issue that will help them raise funds and fire up their base. Still this cant be good overall for the Dems.
