Inside Dinosaur Inc.: Syracuse's iconic rib joint (owned by George Soros)

Over the next decades, Nancy and Larry Luckwaldt donated cash and sweat to help their ... neighbor build the Dinosaur Bar-B-Que into a hometown rib joint that is the iconic identity of Syracuse....

One of the richest men in the world was willing to buy out the Luckwaldts’ shares in the company. In 2008, the Luckwaldts sold most of their stake to George Soros, whom Nancy knew only as “a hedge fund financial person” from New York.

The quiet transaction turned over majority ownership of the home-grown honky-tonk on Willow Street to a controversial billionaire financier from New York City.

I gotta admit: I’m surprised there isn’t a branch in Ithaca what with the Soros connection and all.

Soros should own a restaurant named the Buchenwald Oven.

He is a POS nazi collaborator.

**I’m surprised there isn’t a branch in Ithaca**

You can buy it at Wegman’s, and get their sauces at any grocery store...

Glad I learned this before trying the stuff.

Probably using the joint to launder money or something.

Not sure what the motive is behind this move . Soros doesn’t need to launder his money in the U.S. and it doesn’t really sound like a good investment on the scale that Soros is used to dealing with .
The other drawback is the restaurant business is hard and even harder if it’s BBQ . If Soros thinks he’s gonna grow this BBQ business and make money , he’s more delusional than previously thought .. he’ll have to contend with every mom and pop Rib Joint in every town that he tries to peddle his new toy in .
Very stange story ... chalk it up to a new toy for Soros and his offspring or perhaps some big Leftist salivated into Soros lap how much they liked eating meat from this place ...(Bubba Klinton comes to mind?)

This acquisition does seem a bit strange. Elliot Spitzer should come back from the political grave and take a look see...

Before Soros took over we went to the Syracuse restaurant. I will never go back. Not only because of Soros, but because that day the food was not that great. The restaurant is like eating in a closet with 50 other people. I was not impressed considering all the hype.

I used to by their Wango Tango BBQ sauce. I have since found a better substitute.

I wonder how many millions in donations to leftwing/democrat causes & groups have “come from”(funneled through?) that “restaurant” since then?

I am horrified. I have been there and liked it. My son is going to be a freshman at Syracuse at the end of this month and HE liked it. We can def never set foot back in there and give them another dime, now that we know!

Damn it!

I used some of their BBQ sauce on my baby back ribs recently and liked it. It is pretty good, for Yankee sauce! ;)

Of course, now this is the one and only bottle I will now ever purchase.

We have a winner. I personally know the Klintoon was eating Dinosaur BBQ at the State Fair the summer his wife was running for Senate.
