Pinal County (Ariz.) Sheriff Paul Babeu, whose deputies patrol a county along the U.S.-Mexico border, is hopping mad at the federal government.
Babeu told CNSNews.com that rather than help law enforcement in Arizona stop the hundreds of thousands of people who come into the United States illegally, the federal government is targeting the state and its law enforcement personnel.
“What’s very troubling is the fact that at a time when we in law enforcement and our state need help from the federal government, instead of sending help they put up billboard-size signs warning our citizens to stay out of the desert in my county because of dangerous drug and human smuggling and weapons and bandits and all these other things and then, behind that, they drag us into court with the ACLU,” Babeu said.
The sheriff was referring to the law suits filed by the American Civil Liberties Union and the U.S. Department of Justice challenging the state’s new immigration law.
“So who has partnered with the ACLU?” Babeu said in a telephone interview with CNSNews.com. “It’s the president and (Attorney General) Eric Holder himself. And that’s simply outrageous.”

He is an elected sheriff. he should go arrest federal employees and put them in jail. They should stay there till he gets his point across.

Arizona has TWO outstanding sheriffs with their heads screwed on straight.
Your question needs to be posed to the majority of the voters in AZ. They’re acting like abused wives. For years their husband has been beating them, but all of a sudden he starts sweet talking them, and saying all the words they long to hear. So they persuade themselves the abuse has ended and the husband has turned over a new leaf. Crazy.
question: What is preventing Arizona from allowing a volunteer armed work force from coming in and building a wall, and plugging the damn hole?

Technically, Gov Brewer could declare “a state of invasion” right now, call up the AZ National Guard, and request assistance from the federal government. If the federal government either a) refuses to render assistance or b) actively interferes with AZ then it is in violation of Art 4 Sec 4 of the Constitution which REQUIRES the federal government to “protect each of them [the States] against Invasion.”
That’s why I call D.C. the District of Criminals.

We have an out of control oligarchy that is stealing from us through onerous taxation and holds the citizens hostage with millions of fiddling laws. We have a terrifying and unfair criminal justice system that forces us to comply rather than to face.
We have graft and extortion on many levels. We are locked in a system that needs to be frankly, cleansed of criminals and criminal misdoing.
The fact that Dodd and Frank are still walking around instead of waiting for a trial, and if they are found guilty, executed.
The fact that low and high level people betray our country without reprisal when trial and if guilty, execution is appropriate.
The fact that we do not have the will to confront these issues and the many other.
Historicaly there is only one thing that prevents the exesses of leadership, that is the knowledge that the leaders’ heads would be attached to the end of pikes.
We are rapidly reaching that crossroad.
Yes, well unfortunately the alternative, JD Hayworth, has been coming at the public with a deafening silence. McCain has spent millions promoting his lies, and no one has heard much from Hayworth. He kicked Juan’s @ss in the debate and I was hoping he’d follow that up with an ad campaign, but... ::::crickets chirping::::: And of course the media slobbers all over their Amigo Juan.
