The police on Staten Island were searching for three assailants Sunday in connection with the robbery and beating of a Mexican teenager a day earlier the latest in a series of attacks on Mexican immigrants in Port Richmond that has spurred a heightened police presence and discussions among community leaders and residents on how to curb the rising violence.
The assault occurred about 2:30 a.m. on Saturday as the victim, a 17-year-old high school junior, whose name was not disclosed by the authorities, was returning home after working a late shift as a busboy at a restaurant in Manhattan, the police and neighborhood advocates said.
As he passed through the intersection of Castleton Avenue and Simonson Place three blocks from the heart of the police buildup on Port Richmond Avenue, the neighborhoods main commercial strip a Hispanic man approached him and asked him a question, possibly to distract him, according to the police. Suddenly, two black men appeared and began punching the victim in the face and yelling anti-Mexican slurs, the police said. The three men stole $10 from the teenager and fled.
The victim was treated for lacerations at Richmond University Medical Center and released.
The police said Saturdays attack was at least the 10th instance in the past four months in which assailants, mostly young black men, have assaulted Mexican immigrants walking in Port Richmond, which has seen the number of Mexican residents climb sharply over the past two decades.
The police say they are investigating the latest attack as a hate crime. They also treated the nine earlier cases as hate crimes, though in the three cases in which arrests have been made, grand jurors declined prosecutors requests to indict the suspects on hate-crime charges...

I suspected something was up when other sources didn't identify white perps. So far, the only other source that I found describing the alleged perpetrators was the NY Post, which isn't that surprising.
Is this a foreshadowing of the Democratic Nominating Committee?

Reminds me of what Fred, about ten years ago, warned about happening if something didn’t change:
when is Jesse Jackson’s rally for the MX yute?
Just feral Black males having a bit of fun.
My first question is if this Mexican youth is ‘legal’ or not.
But was it racial? Black on Hispanic....if that had been White on Hispanic then they would have cried racism. What’s good for the goose....
They couldn’t figure out which politically correct victim group to defend so they picked the one that was outnumbered in this fight. Other than that they couldn’t care less.
Well at least these aren’t racial beatings. :)
Port Richmond used to be a great neighborhood 50 years ago. I loved on Staten Island for the past 35 years and the decline had already begun. I can’t say for certain that the attacks on the Mexicans are “hate” crimes. All I know is that it is a shame the way a once stately neighborhood has declined.
One of the MSM’s biggest secrets is the ongoing turf wars in this country between blacks and Hispanics.
"Suddenly, two black men appeared and began punching the victim in the face and yelling anti-Mexican slurs, the police said."
"The police say they are investigating the latest attack as a hate crime. They also treated the nine earlier cases as hate crimes, though in the three cases in which arrests have been made, grand jurors declined prosecutors requests to indict the suspects on hate-crime charges."
I think the media is becoming more open about posting photos and descriptions of the perps in cases like this nowadays -- mainly because Latin American immigrants have clearly displaced black Americans as a "favored minority" in the U.S.
Just think about it, folks . . . the only black American on the U.S. Supreme Court is a Republican, and Barack Hussein Obama's first Supreme Court nominee was an incompetent Latino who looks like Manuel Noriega.
And its good to note that, as usual, the racism isn't among the people usually accused of it, but among the people doing the accusing. The people who see racism where ever they look are in fact the people who are themselves race obsessed and are most likely to lash out along racial lines.
Oh, so it’s a “hate crime” (as opposed to a “love beating”) when the victim ALSO is a “minority”.
It DEFINITELY wouldn’t have been a “hate crime” if the victim was white, we know that for sure.
Since the perps were black and the victim white, this would not normally be news.
So it’s ok to say “young black men”if the victims are Latino? I can’t count the number of crimes I have read about against Caucasians in which there was no description of the perps race. Usually the descriptions of the criminals will be very vague such as a mention of height/age, and/or clothing worn, with no mention of physical characteristics.
From the jails and prisons to a lot of city halls, the rat's coalition is not too solid. The main unifying theme is hating whitey.
But, if these were white kids beating up Mexicans....groups like La Raza, MEChA, MALDEF, and the other Hispanic Ku Klux Klan groups would be whining “racism, racism, racism”
However, since these were blacks...probably no mention from the Hispanic KKK groups....they would not want to upset the Black Ku Klux Klan groups, Eric Holder, Obama, etc....
When racist groups attack...each other
