Missouri voters on Tuesday overwhelmingly rejected a federal mandate to purchase health insurance, rebuking President Barack Obama's administration and giving Republicans their first political victory in a national campaign to overturn the controversial health care law passed by Congress in March.

Time for old jugears to rethink his position?
Nah, he’ll just sue ‘em
why isn’t this on the ballot in EVERY state this election?
Huge turnaround, since McCain only beat Obama in MO 50-49 during the 2008 election. Obvious buyer’s remorse.
There’re five Supreme Court justices that should get their
own food tasters!
Someone had to be first, just to test the waters. It MUST be obvious to the demmies that we do NOT want this, and it will be interesting to see their reaction to this mandate.
Hey DIMs....hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
But without it, Obamacare cannot be funded. It will be very very interesting to say the least when the question of the mandate reaches the Supremes.
“Time for old jugears to rethink his position?”
I don’t think that Stroker got the message.
As late as yesterday he said that he “thinks” that he knows more than his critics.
The boy is either very slow on the uptake, or he is living in denial.
The sooner that we throw this narcissistic POS out of OUR White House, the better off we will all be.
they KNOW we don’t want it, but they don’t CARE!
Wonder if we can get something on the ballots that will force our reps in the house and senate to use the same healthcare they have forced upon us.
When I read a headline in this morning’s paper: “Mo Against Obamacare!”, I thought MO was Michele Obama! I thought, “Gee, his base really has eroded!” Then I realized it was Proposition C in Missouri but was not disappointed since the plurality was greater than the number of people who voted for Obamacare’s mandated purchasing of a product.
Ike Skelton is toast....
Remember Obama’s SecOfHealth has dismissed all of this as silly and will never work. < / sarcasm >
Dear Obama, America in a large percentage rejects your radical agendas.
Hardly a surprise—O is polling in the low 30’s there of late.
Probably won’t be long until he’s there on a national level.
With most of the vote counted, Proposition C was winning by a ratio of nearly 3 to 1. The measure, which seeks to exempt Missouri from the insurance mandate in the new health care law, includes a provision that would change how insurance companies that go out of business in Missouri liquidate their assets.
"I've never seen anything like it," Cunningham said at a campaign gathering at a private home in Town and Country. "Citizens wanted their voices to be heard."
About 30 Proposition C supporters whooped it up loudly at 9 p.m. when the returns flashed on the television showing the measure passing with more than 70 percent of the vote.
"It's the vote heard 'round the world," said Dwight Janson, 53, from Glendale, clad in an American flag-patterned shirt. Janson said he went to one of the first Tea Party gatherings last year and hopped on the Proposition C bandwagon because he wanted to make a difference.

It actually took about 10 days to discern McCain the winner. It was that close. Of course STL and KC were the only areas that voted for Soetoro, along with a could of river counties..
The only reason, IMO, he’s polling in the low- to mid-40’s now is all of his “fluff girls” in the MSM like Chrissy Tingles, et al. If they covered Obama like they covered Bush, even his own mother wouldn’t like him (were she still alive).
Would be nice, wouldn't it?
If we had an actual "unbiased press", they would be asking WHY they have excluded themselves from it? Can you imagine the headlines if the Republicans were the ones pushing this?
You give the old drunk tingles too much credit, half his audience is probably conservatives with a masochistic streak and the other half are anti-depressant overdosed libs who barely know what day it is.
“Of course STL and KC were the only areas that voted for Soetoro....”

That would be just the CITY of St. Louis, infested as it is with its...ahem... third world entitlement culture and smug, “open-minded” white “progressives”.
The huge surrounding St. Louis Metroplex is reliably conservative.
You're giving him way too much credit to assume it's not BOTH.
Historically, leftists invariably react to the “masses” rebuffing their ideas
with the thought that such rejection is a confirmation or their own superiority over said masses.
IE, those who reject the elites’ ideas are just affirming the elite status of those elites.
Way to go, Missouri!
Great point...this is the harbinger of things to come November 2.
Yooooo Hooooo...paging James Carville, Bob Beckel, Susan Estrich, Stan Greenberg et al.
EMERGENCY!
MISSOURI!
STAT!
Errrrr...nevermind...it’s the whole bloomin’ NATION!!!
“You’re giving him way too much credit to assume it’s not BOTH.”
I stand corrected.
:)
Yes, and soon Obama will be impeached by a Republican congress. There’s no other way to save this country.
Uh, yeah, I know I live in the County..
It’s pretty funny, in a non-humerous sort of way. The left wing media keeps talking about how conservatives, the tea party, capitalists, and such are a fringe right-wing group. But when a simple ballot issue is proposed, the vote shows that the conservatives are the vast majority.
The magic is wearing off.

18-4 agaainst the AAA Astros.
Ouch.
It need to be on the ballot in every state. I cannot believe 71% of the vote. Amazing.
Impeachment MAY happen, but not likely.
Removal by 67 senators will NOT happen.
The best thing that the repubs can do is defund all of 0bama’s policies.
they won the night before, but I like the Cards this year. There really is no one in the NL that can take to October..
Then Obama will blame them for obstructing his work to improve the economy. Obama has to go or he’ll destroy this nation. He has to be removed or the Republicans will be the scapegoat.
missouri is racist.
“It need to be on the ballot in every state. I cannot believe 71% of the vote. Amazing.”
This is exactly what we need. Send the message clearly at the state level to our Congressmen. Repeal Obamacare 100% or we will repeal you. This will make them fear us.
“....The best thing that the repubs can do is defund all of 0bamas policies.”
Every one of them.
In some states, like Massatwochits, the leadership will not allow the people to decide anything for themselves. The people are such children, you know...
A few weeks ago he was talking about how next year, REAL change would start, not the penny ante stuff he’s been shoving so far.
I suspect he won’t care about Prop C at all.
Bamby’s lawyers sure are going to be busy suing all these states who dare to disagree with Dear Leader.
