President Barack Obama is pledging a relentless fight to rebuild the economy as millions of families struggle.
Obama is telling union officials in Washington, "We are not giving up, and we are not giving in."
The president spoke in personal terms Wednesday about the plight of people who have not been able to find work in the deep, enduring recession. He spoke of spouses who must have uncomfortable conversations about not being able to afford their homes any more or not being able to save money for college funds.
The president spoke to the AFL-CIO Executive Council.

Imagine the "spouses" in the Gulf States (or even Hawaii) and the conversations they could be having with that taxpayer money spent in their American town. Many - if not all - unions have long outlived their reason for existence. Especially public sector unions. They may not be the root cause of the problem but they are only one or two branches removed.
Maybe he should have started this “relentless fight” by keeping Michelle at home....what must the taxpayers of America been shaken down to provide her security and the security of her entourage in that expensive resort....30 rooms, AF2...., guards, automobiles etc. Truly these people have no class....learning at the expense of the American people...what a hypocritical and tasteless thing to do Michelle for going to Spain and Obama for lying once again to a nation he cares so little about.
