President Barack Obama is pledging a relentless fight to rebuild the economy as millions of families struggle.

Obama is telling union officials in Washington, "We are not giving up, and we are not giving in."

The president spoke in personal terms Wednesday about the plight of people who have not been able to find work in the deep, enduring recession. He spoke of spouses who must have uncomfortable conversations about not being able to afford their homes any more or not being able to save money for college funds.

The president spoke to the AFL-CIO Executive Council.

The president spoke in personal terms Wednesday about the plight of people...

"Feeling their pain" works much better when people aren't actually in pain. It worked great for Clinton, but he wasn't trying to put American business out of business.

With 10% unemployment, telling people you feel their pain — in between vacations and rounds of golf — kinda sorta misses the mark.

Obama pledges relentless fight on economy

He won't rest until the job situation gets better ... but he will golf, hold parties, go on vacation, go to fundraisers...

And the "Recovery Summer" just keeps getting better and better.

Great! Now I gotta clean the sarcasm off my keyboard.

I would like to know - aside from the Secret Service - how many of her "friends" are white? I ask that question based on her recent love-fest with the NAACP and her radical hatred for America.

More of that “I will not rest, etc” lingo.

Does he ever sit at his desk and think? Like ElRushbo says, thinking is hard work.

Like you said, he has been relentlessly fighting the economy since he took office.

Unfortunately, the economy and Americans are losing this battle and the referee is ready to declare a TKO.

The end result is everyday, hard working citizens face down on the mat as they drown in their own blood, sweat, and tears.

Obama will take more money from the private sector so Democrats can continue spending, and everyone will have less job opportunities, but he will swear that’s going to fix the economy. Any takers?

We should be learning the lessons of England rather than following the same down fall that Islam has brought them and will eventually to us. Political Correctness is the weapon of our enemies.

“We are not giving up, and we are not giving in.”

I guess he has decided to move from invoking Lincoln to Churchill. Sad that he is able to take great historic words and make them empty.

I just don’t get the Union love for the Democrat Party. It was a Democrat President who signed NAFTA. It was a Democrat President who granted Most Favored Nation trade status to the Peoples’ Republic of China. It was a Democrat President who allowed China to join the WTO. And the current Democrat President is encouraging more illegals to enter the country, thus depressing wages for everyone including Union workers. It makes no sense.

Mark Levin put together a short clip of the Kenyan repeating over and over all the things "he will not rest" until he destroys them.

Don’t forget the democrat anti-fossil fuel stance which would do away with coal, oil and gas mining...all union positions.

How the unions leadership support democrats is easy to understand. Unions leaders get a ton of gimmes from democrat pols. How the union rank and file support them when it will eventually cost them their jobs and livelyhoods makes no sense at all.

Obama's "fight" seems to be against those in the private sector who employ and invest. You know, the "rich".
