My old man was on his way to invade Japan when the bomb hit Hiroshima. About 80 days in the belly of a troop ship, zig-zagging around the Pacific. His exact words to me about it were “they dropped the bomb, the war was over, and that was all right with your father.”

I’ve seen photos of the training material pupblished to teach Japanese civilians how to attack Americans by any and all means. Very similar to current Islamist indoctrination material.
