Paul Schalow, a professor of Japanese at Rutgers University ... speculated that Roos' visit could be a step toward positioning the U.S. to condemn any future use of atomic weapons, perhaps by North Korea.

"If we show some regret of our own use of the weapon, if it happens again, we're in a moral position to criticize," he said. "As of now, we're not in a position to denounce it."

Great critical thinking by one of our esteemed perfessers. We have no moral position to criticize North Korea using the bomb because we used it, even though we used it to stop totalitarianism, and NK would be using it AS totalitarianism.

Hey, wouldn't want to take a moral stand, right perfesser? Gotta go crawling back into the playpen and declare: "all violence is wrong, no matter what the reason."

Which is why this perfesser would never, say, dial 911 in a home invasion, because the cops might be violent to the rapists of his wife and daughters. All violence is wrong. If you resist, the violence is your fault. America hasn't been perfect, so America deserves to be damned and destroyed.

Treasonous communist bastards should be kicked out of the country. Let em go find nirvana somewhere other than the America they loathe so much.

“If we show some regret of our own use of the weapon, if it happens again, we’re in a moral position to criticize,”

I’ll see your 500kt nuclear detonation and raise you a strong denunciation. What drivel.

When we issue an communique to the still-glowing pile of molten debris that was once North Korea, we'll look pretty silly if it includes a denunciation of the use of nuclear weaponry...

This has a European spin to it.
“If you’re the victim of a robbery, you’re partly responsible because you owned too much stuff.”
