Rudy Giulianis daughter Caroline was busted for shoplifting today at an Upper East Side beauty and skin care shop, police sources said.
The 20-year-old was arrested at a Sephora store near the E. 86th home she shares with her mother, Donna Hanover, the former television, the citys former First Lady before her bitter split from the tough-on-crime mayor.
Caroline, the youngest of the former mayors two children, was taken to Manhattans 19th Precinct for processing. She is a student at Harvard University.

“She is a student at Harvard University.”
In many ways, America is getting to be just as autocratic as any monarchy.
So he must be a bad father/ according to the moralist on FR or are they just Sarah bashers
BTW, speaking as a previous owner of a retained search company, don't hire Harvard MBA’s. They will ruin your company. Lawyers either.
Was she shopping with the son of Buffalo’s mayor?
He was arrested for the same charge a few days back.
Made news in 2008 when she came out as an Obama supporter.
was this the daughter that backed Obama? if so this really figures - liberals all want something for nothing and party on other peoples dime
i remember that making headlines in 2008
What a stupid girl.
Didn’t know that but not surprised, her mom was a big time liberal.
What does this have to do with Palin’s daughter? By the way, he is no model father.
He moved his mistress into the family home.
I consider that the far greater crime. It seems like most of the destroyers of America go through there.
BTW, Rudy's son is a real piece of work, too.
What should we expect—after all she supported Obama.
Can’t say I agree with very much of what Guilaini stands for in the area of social issues, but he was the right man at the right place, at the right time on 911.
I didn’t read the details so this may not apply.
Picking up something and not paying for it before exiting does happen by accident for a number of reasons. A shoplifting charge has to be looked at in detail to have any real confidence that it was on purpose or not. If it is clear it was on purpose then I have no sympathy for the thief.
And no, I’ve never been suspected (that I know of) or charged for shoplifting... I have nearly walked out of a store with something in hand that I didn’t pay for but fortunately caught myself before it was too late...
No, the kid screwed up and she must face the punishment just like any other kid. I just hope that happens and she is not let off because of who she is.
Like mother, like daughter. Donna Hanover used to be a news infobabe in this town. She is a first-class Grade A nutjob.
I believe that's plutarcho-kleptocracy.
It’s called Sarcasm....the moralist jump on Sarah all the time...just poking it back at them
I met w/someone in a local store - both of us in a hurry - stopped a moment to chat - I proceeded to line, she started walking towards the door with stuff in her hand - and then heard a big yelp from her - she caught herself before walking out the door.
So I agree - was she walking out the door w/item in her hand or was it hidden?
The One In The Dress
Cut off her right hand and give her 50 lashes.
“Donna Hanover, the former television”
Wow! Transmogrification! I’m impressed!
I was shopping at a mall one afternoon, and I was talking to someone who was standing on one side of the entrance to the store and I was standing in the store. As we were talking I was not paying attention and stepped forward placing one foot through the store’s security system and set off the alarm, because I was holding merchandise in my hand. It was never my intention to steal anything. I stepped back through the threshold and said I was sorry.
The staff at the store had seen what had happened. They could tell I was not trying to leave the store, nor was I trying to steal. I just had a momentary lapse in concentration.
I went to the counter and paid for the item. And never thought much of it, again.
Very few would accuse Rudy and crew of that.
Try thinking outside the prism of poor Sarah for a few minutes.
Sephora cosmetics charged a credit card I have not used in years $50.
No problem getting the charges denied and promptly closed the acct.
Just in case that is happening to others.
I shred all my stuff ID wise and live in a very rural area.
Also have a locked mail box.
So, I am guessing, either someone from the credit card company or Sephora put $50 on my card.
Odd amount too, not cents?
I still believe he would've beaten Obama had he received the Republican nomination, --a Pyrrhic victory for conservatives though.
True, but then again, still, the country would have been much better off anyway.
She’s a lesbian. What a shame...
...oh, wait, I think that’s actually a guy. Technically.
Not for all conservatives.
Couldn't we just give her to Laz
Harvard strips them of God and throws them back into the “ruling class”.
Didnt know that but not surprised, her mom was a big time liberal.
So is her father.
She was just ‘learning’ in the way of Obama - Harvard’s most prestigious, post-racial graduate and Messianic Icon to the World.
Shhhh... Keep you voice down. Remember the Great Purge of April '07?
Lost a lotta Freepers that month...
Could be Butch!
So, you’re here to fight Freepers who have morals?
It looks like Rudys ethics and morals have been passed on to the next generation.
Did Rudy have any children with his cousin, a.k.a. wife #1 ?
Sephora: Will Chase/Will issue civil demand and call police, may prosecute depending on circumstances, will issue a trespass order for 1 year/No plainclothes/No monthly quota on shoplifting aprehensions/Very well and actively-monitored cameras that are full colour, and can pan as well as zoom in/nothing has a security tag/
There is one dedicated employee who monitors all the cameras, and has radio contact with all (or just the LPs) staff members in the store/There are generally more than 2 LPs active in the store with the camera guy behind the scenes/LP is well trained and even regular staff has a degree of LP training.
Anyone would be a fool to try and shop lift at that store. Security is Casino tight :)
She didn’t need to steal, I’m sure her dad would have given her some of his beauty supplies.
He stopped us as soon as we stepped out. This kid was really gun ho to call the cops but I said to him”Why would I shop lift one item, which was the least expensive item and pay for all the others?” With that reasoning he took the soap and let us go.
So there are websites that give tips to prospective shoplifters?
They probably charged a gift card to your account.
I, being a Sephora Shopper, want to know what items she stole. Their stuff isn’t cheap, but they always give you free samples, shopper rewards, and a Birthday Present from the store which is usually a nice collection of items. I love the Temptu line.
It’s easy to drop hundreds of bucks there in one trip. I’m glad Sephora has a no holds barred loss prevention program.
Nope....but there is a difference between Pharisees/moralist types who look down at people, always expecting perfection when there own personal/family life is probably not so great than to say somebody is wrong or is doing wrong
Well, he's been married three times and cheated on the daughter's mother publicly... So, yeah. Giuliani is probably a bad father.
People who don't put their children first very often end up with children who act out in their own adulthoods.
Sometimes even the very best parent has a child who goes astray. When that happens, its tragic and I have nothing but sympathy for those parents.
Other times, the parent lets the child know in no uncertain terms that they aren't as important as their parents' career. They simply aren't there for the child, sometimes literally. That's tragic in a different way. I have no sympathy for those parents at all, and I don't care whether they have the magic "R" next to their names or not.
God gave us our children to care for and to love. They are not stage props to further political ambitions. To treat them as such is to mock God and laugh at His gifts.
If it makes me a "moralist" to think that people who have children should, you know, actually raise them, then that's okay with me.
