The most liberal state in the union is Rhode Island, which surpasses those traditional liberal hotbeds of Massachusetts and Vermont, according to a new Gallup poll. All Headline News reports that of the nearly 100,000 Americans polled during a six-month period, a total of 32 percent of Rhode Islanders considered themselves politically liberal. Coming in second was Washington, D.C., followed by Connecticut and Vermont, which tied for third place.

I don’t know - I moved from California to Arizona in 1996 and right now I am extremely pleased to be living in the state where our Gov’r has had the “gonads” to stand up to Obama where Law Enforcement is IMPORTANT! And we have the best Sheriff in Joe Arpaeo...So, #1 on my list is the grand canyon state of Arizona!
Considering Relocating? Think about Colorado Springs…
I f you or a CONSERVATIVE person is considering relocating, I’d invite you to tell them about this family values oasis. I’d personally suggest Northern Colorado Springs as being the best and the most conservative.
And just to lay my cards on the table, I am not in the Real Estate business and make nothing off anyone moving here. I just know that Soros and others have dumped millions into Colorado and have succeeding in taking over the state government for the first time in decades recently.
The Springs loses out to Denver and Boulder in the state elections but it is still close enough to make a difference.

The list seems a bit off to me... maybe due to political bias or something else. Maybe it is because it was determined by the MSM (and appropriate polling groups) which would mean nothing...
They need to make a list—”What’s the least liveable state for illegals?”.
The south is irredeemably and uniformly horrible. All of it. Texas especially. Don’t come here. Oklahoma too.

Colorado Springs is a great city. I definitely wouldn’t mind living there. If I had to live somewhere other than Colorado, which I don’t know that I ever will, it would be Utah, Arizona, Wyoming, Idaho, or Texas.
Arizona would be higher on the list if we didn't have that damn BORDER PROBLEM!!! Seal the damn border now!!!
Leah, I’d give my right arm to move OUT of Arizona! Yes, Jan and Sheriff Joe are giving the feds the middle finger, and I do appreciate that, but after being born here and living in Phoenix all my life, I STILL HATE THE DAMN HEAT!
I know, I know...you don’t have to shovel heat. Still, I get tired of living like a mole for 5 or 6 months of the year. Utah looks really good to me, maybe Texas.
I don’t know what the criteria is for most livable state but I am loving NORTHERN michigan. small towns, large fresh water lakes, plenty of ski hills and snowmobiling, green grass, lots of woods and berry picking and the morel mushrooms are awsome! And for those who this makes a difference....NO DIVERSITY! which translates into cleanliness and low to no crime. Detroit and the other down state cities suck for sure but everyone always discounts the entire state because of them and people need to realize that the northern part of the state might as well be an entirely different state!
I’d love to move to Utah if I could get a job. The market just doesn’t seem to be what it is here in Cali for IT.
Arizona is #1 in cojones, to put it in terms that the illegals understand.

Lived in Scottsdale several years and loved AZ!!! The light is fantastic and Sheriff Joe is my hero!!!! Most of the year it is so nice, but summers are too hot. Don’t like the snake/scorpion look-out but you can manage it and the gardening/vegetables/circumstances is not good. Easy to get Vit. D, for sure. I even saw snow twice but not enough to cover the ground.
I lived in the bay area for years. California weather there is beautiful. Lemons/oranges are wonderful...gardening is excellent. Best place to have young kids play and explore and have sand box and water play. Everything is close—beach/mountains/zoo/parks/museums/ice rinks/ etc... Loved it there...but the politics and taxes are the worst.
Thanks for the information about Michigan. I know what comes to my mind when I think of Michigan is Detroit. I’ve never been to Michigan, but I’m sure there are some great parts and I agree with you about the diversity thing. We’ve got plenty of diversity here in Northern Aurora just outside of Denver and it’s getting scarier and scarier, and dirty, and more run down.
Other than the taxes, the corruption, and the gun laws, NJ is a pretty good place to live. Hills and beaches, low crime in most towns, good school systems, and ZONING LAWS THAT KEEP THE TRASH FROM MOVING IN, something lacking in Texas and most of the south.
