Obama doesn't have the cahonees to order such a mission.

Do spooks always wait for orders?

Hope it’s encrypted with 128 bit AES. 256bit, and nobody will crach it for a few billion years without some quantum systems breakthrough.

Which means that some 15 year old kid will crack it by next week

PGP is uncrackable even by the CIA/NSA. I doubt some 15 year old is gonna crack it.

I miss Reagan. These releases would have stopped immediately after the computer and person who did it disappeared.

If it’s encoded as claimed, breaking it would be bigger news than whatever is in the file.
**********
“Cryptographers say that the file was likely made using a 256-bit encryption standard known as AES256, which the U.S. government and others employ to mask some of their most sensitive data.

“It is widely viewed as extremely strong,” said crypotgraphy pioneer Whitfield Diffie, of Britain’s Royal Holloway College. He said there were no known instances of anyone being able to beat the standard.

Kocher, of Cryptography Research, agreed, saying that the only conceivable way anyone outside of WikiLeaks could decode “Insurance” was if Assange and his colleagues had used a blatantly obvious password or experienced some kind of “catastrophic algorithm error.”

“We’re not going to find out what’s in that file unless somebody reveals the key,” Kocher said.”

Wondering if manning had access to a STU system, did he make calls on it while the key was active and where did he make the calls?

Not a clue. All’s I heard was vague news reports that he sent files docs something from his aircraft. As nuts as that sounds I think that is what I heard.

This stuff needs to stop, and ~right now~.

People are being killed because of this douchebag. This smarmy little twerp has blood on his hands. It’s time for his head to suddenly disappear in a cloud of red mist.

If an Intelligence Agency did break the code they would never reveal it.

Being born in Oklahoma alone does not make one a natural born citizen. It takes two citizen parents.
