Neighbors and the city were left to clean up the mess left behind when the man used a chainsaw to cut down several trees on his street.
Meet 'Displaced Foreign Traveler', Valentine GOMEZ-ROMERO, now residing at the Jackson County, Oregon jail.

The video doesn't bother to tell you that this mental dynamo is an illegal alien and neither does the print news.

Man arrested in apparent drug-addled attack on trees
August 05, 2010
A man who admitted using meth chopped down trees across a Palm Street neighborhood, then fought with police when he was arrested on a variety of charges this morning.
Valentine Gomez-Romero, 33, of the 600 block of Palm Street was arrested this morning on charges of first-degree criminal mischief, disorderly conduct, assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest, Medford police said in a news release.
Officers were summoned to what police called a "normally quiet neighborhood" in west Medford at about 8 a.m. today by a report about a man cutting trees some as tall at 35 feet with a chainsaw.
When police approached Gomez-Romero, he took a fighting stance and swung his fist at an officer, the police report said. A scuffle ensued before he was taken into custody.
Gomez-Romero and one officer suffered minor injuries, while a second officer sustained more significant knee injuries, police said. All three were treated and released at local hospitals.
Gomez-Romero told police that he had used meth last night, then, this morning, he got a chainsaw and began cutting down trees in his front yard. After attacking those trees, he moved on to other trees in the neighborhood, police said.
The arborist for the city of Medford responded to the scene to assess the value of the felled trees and to arrange for the cleanup, police said.
I guess if he is 'displaced' it would be the compassionate thing to do him a favor and help him find his way home.

We are all being told that there is a little Illegal Immigration problem on our Southwestern borders but, in fact, what we actually have is unbridled criminal activity, murder of citizens and a plot to re-conquer our Great Southwest. Our border is under attack and, in my opinion, our Federal Government is either blind or complicit or so eager to ingratiate themselves to a group of voters that they are willing to give away our country to get re-elected.

Just what you want in your neighborhood: a crazed illegal alien on meth with a chain saw.
Here is where the “displaced foreign traveler” phrase came from: the USDA Forest Service:

Another U.S. Government approved immigrant...
The border patrol folks are actually listening to the volunteer border watchers? Unbelievable.
The Great Chainsaw Tree Massacre.
Obama is 100% complicit in this border war. He is encouraging it.
What has happened to Medford?
Why does that surprise you? Lots of cities have arborists. If this assh@ole had pulled this in Eugene or Portland, he'd have been in more trouble for cutting the trees than for fighting with the police.
I’m not sure why this is an issue for you, but I suggest you take my comment in context.
“What has happened to Medford?”
It’s trying to turn into Eugene!! lol
Now the squatter support squad is all bent out of shape that this ALIEN might get deported!!!!
Man behind chainsaw rage may face deportation

Medford, Ore. -U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement placed a hold on Gomez Romero. That means he can’t post bail, and will have to face an immigration judge after his time is done.
According to the Jackson County Sheriffs Office eight percent of their prisoners are facing similar holds. But one neighbor who experienced the rage says he should stay in the country.
“They should not bring up automatically deporting him but bring up an opportunity for him to go about it the right way,” explained Breanna Taylor. Taylor was one of the neighbors who experienced the unwanted landscaping, but says gomez romero should stay in the States.
But not everyone agrees: “Should he get kicked out of the country? Absolutely he should get kicked out of the country, If I went to mexico city and pretty much did the same thing...I’m sure I would be on a buss north very quickly,” said Local Talk Show Host Bill Meyer.

MEDFORD, Ore. — A Palm Street man told police he was up all night reading the Bible and taking methamphetamine before he gave his neighbors a wake-up call Thursday morning with a chainsaw, cutting down trees planted in a city revitalization project.
After being jailed Thursday, the man was identified as an illegal alien.
Medford police responded to a call of a man cutting down trees with a chainsaw around 8 AM Thursday and ended up arresting him after he confronted arriving officers. Police say he put the chain saw down and fought with them before being taken into custody. Two officers were injured in the fracas.
Police took 33-year-old Valentine Gomez-Romero, of the 600 block of Palm Street, into custody. Medford police Lt. Bob Hansen said Gomez-Romero told police that he had been up all night reading the Bible and taking methamphetamine before his morning tree-trimming work.
Neighbor Colleen Kingsley said, “Theres never been any conflict so hes decent guy.”
Two officers were transported to a local hospital; one suffered a knee injury and the other received cuts on his hand. Gomez-Romero was treated and released from a local hospital before being taken to the Jackson County Jail on charges of first-degree criminal mischief, resisting arrest and two counts of assaulting an officer. Gomez-Romero was also identified as an illegal alien and is being held without bail.
An arborist with the city of Medford is working with a private contractor to clean up the mess and asses the damage, which they estimated at $5,000.
Some of the trees that were cut down were part of Medford’s City Revitalization Program. The city and neighbors from West Palm Street planted trees four years ago to help bring up the property values of homes and make neighborhoods look nicer.
Medford City Arborist Bill Harrington surveyed the cost Thursday morning and estimated the cost to be around $5,000.
“I’ll do an appraisal on that. I identify them by species, size location and there’s a formal appraisal process that takes place,” said Harrington.
Medford Police searched Gomez-Romero’s house for drugs but did not find any.
