That would be the unemployment rate, still stuck at 9.5 percent.

Actually over 10 percent, just because this government refuses to count those who are out of work does not mean I have to accept the "still stuck at" anymore than I have to accept approval numbers "hanging in there at above 40%".

Robert Gibbs called that "good news" and said the federal response to the spill had played an important part in containing the potential damage.

I fail to see how sitting on their fat arses and being obstructionist bureaucrats helped in containing the damage.

Translation: WaPo can't spin for 0 as much as they'd like for fear of looking more foolish and toadying than they already are.

the revived U.S. auto industry that he bailed out last year.

That HE bailed out ???

Ha!

When called on his socialist tendencies, he tends to proclaim that BUSH started the auto bailout.

Now, it's HIS doing ?

WaPo: Jobs report puts a damper on Obama's effort to keep the message positive (BARF!)

Pesky facts are ruining a perfectly good lie.

what? Another “unexpected”, “surprisingly poor” report on the economy.

I hate to tell people that until there is a change in under laying political/economic theory there will be more “unexpected”, “surprisingly poor” reports on the economy. Any improvements will be the temporary reflection of the current bandage instead of a case of major surgery (change of direction).

President Obama spent much of the week harvesting bits of good news from some of his short- and longer-term initiatives.

The gay marriage decision in California? The passage of the pro-abortion constitution in his native Kenya?

He knew it was coming and made a full bore feint to take the news off the unemployment numbers but it was crushed.

The numbers were reported and disprove all he said.
