A task force set up to establish a memorial at the western Pennsylvania site of the crash of Flight 93 is to disband this week, now that the memorial is under construction.
Flight 93 was traveling from Newark, N.J., to San Francisco when hijackers took it over on Sept. 11, 2001. It crashed in a field near Shanksville, killing everyone aboard.
The first phase of the memorial is expected to be dedicated in time for the 10th anniversary of the crash.

Neither the Park Service site nor the architect's site thought it important to give us the "victims' view" of the site, from say, 5000 feet.
I can only assume the worst.

Thankfully, something will be done in time at the 10-year mark to honor the victims of September 11, 2001. That’s more than I can say about the pitifully slow progress being made at Ground Zero with the Freedom Tower. Personally, I’m disgusted about this. DISGUSTED!!!!! In the aftermath of 9-11 I was envisioning a 10-year anniversary dedication of the new World Trade Center building and memorial. But there’s still nothing. It still looks like a hollow pit NINE YEARS LATER. And now they want to put a mosque there to honor the great “religion of peace.” Nothing infuriates me and disgusts me any more than this. Personally, I think they should be building the new World Trade Center just like the old towers (with modern tweaks here and there). That would have showed the jihadists. But we’ve still got an open pit construction site. Is anyone out there as disgusted about this as I am? Please give me some feedback and input.

I’ve kinda come full circle on this one. At first I thought a crescent-shaped memorial was offensive.
But the more I reflected on it... the more I realized that it’s really a crescent-shaped *scar* on the land. What else could be more appropriate? Islam has scarred the lands of the west for 1400 years. It’s perfect.

Look on the bright side.... Let them build their mosque. Just because they can build it, doesn't mean that it will go smoothly or ever be completed. Cranes tend to topple in NYC. I just hope that only muslims are hired to build it and no other cult. If the mosque should be completed, let them ALL meet there. Mother nature may one day decide to go bowling and use meteors.
We can now be quite sure who was on that low flying plane last year, and why they flew. They were looking for the perfect place for the mosque. Maybe a location that fits perfectly with some constellation......
Something needs to crash into the Flight 93 memorial Islamicist Crescent. This crap is beyond the effing pale. They are putting up monuments to what they did. Mosque at Ground Zero (Cordoba Mosque, no less). This Islamicist Crescent.
Not to mention the mixture of dog urine and pigs’ blood being used to annoint Islamic sites across the country. I’m sure this site will receive pre- and post-costruction treatment! :-)
