AUSTIN — Gov. Rick Perry plans to greet President Barack Obama when Obama arrives for events in Austin on Monday, a governor's aide said.

Perry spokeswoman Katherine Cesinger said on Friday the brief meeting will take place at the airport in Austin. She said Perry, a Republican, will try to express his concern to the Democratic president about the pressing need for more federal help along the Texas-Mexico border.

Ever the optimist, I hope Obama perceives this as a slap.

Perry will say hello to him at the airport but no, Obama, you ain't coming to the house. Food court is right over there, chief.

It is proper for the Governor to meet foreign heads of State when they travel to Texas. I wonder if they will exchange gifts of their native lands...

What the hell for?

She said Perry, a Republican, will try to express his concern to the Democratic president about the pressing need for more federal help along the Texas-Mexico border.

Jan Brewer tried that already, why does Perry think Obama will listen to his whining?

A few thousand Tea Party members should also greet the usurper in Austin.

“What the hell for?”

The golf course is closer to the airport than the governor’s mansion, so Perry thought he would save the taxpayers some gas money.

“Jan Brewer tried that already, why does Perry think Obama will listen to his whining?”

Who said anything about thinking Obama would listen? Still, as governor, it’s Perry’s job to at least say something about it lest people in this state who don’t know any better get on his case about not taking advantage of the opportunity.

Why welcome the leadding so called American Marxist/socialist who’s bent on destroying our nation? The Gov. of Texas should show more class and shun him.

Governor Perry: “We are being overrun by illegals, Mister President. We need federal help on the border.”

President Obama: “Say what? ... cracker? ... Tryin’ to make a name for yourself? ... I’m gonna sue you if you don’t get outta my face about the damn border.”

Glad Perry is wasting as little time as possible on Obama’s Texas money grab tour. Obama has scheduled a rally of some sort on the UT campus while he’s in Austin. No doubt it’s the only place in Texas he can be relatively sure of friendly faces for his photo op. Ever the user.

One liberal globalist greeting another liberal globalist....

Probably the only difference between Obama and Perry is that fewer people want to realize that Perry is a liberal globalist.

Texas Governor Rick Perry is amongst the attendees at 2007 secretive Bilderberg Group meeting... in Istanbul Turkey, but his visit could be a violation of the Logan Act, a 1799 law that criminalizes unauthorized U.S. citizens from negotiating with foreign governments.

Wouldn't a liberal globalist want the borders open?

Hallucinogenic drugs are harmful to one's rational and judgment bro.

Let's hope the Texas keeps it's status as America's #1 business friendly state and does not succumb to the paranoid kook policies enjoyed by the likes of Paulrhoids, kooks and malcontents (redundant).

Perry carries a 0.380 Ruger with a laser sight - good for shooting coyotes and other wild animals.

will obama bow to him?

Obammy has taken to wearing a back brace to prevent spontaneous bowing. He can, however, still curtsy.
