Marilyn Buck, a violent leftist incarcerated for 25 years for her role in some of the most notorious radical acts of the 1980s, including the bombing of the U.S. Capitol and a deadly armored car heist, has died in Brooklyn. She was 62.

On Oct. 20, 1981, she was part of a group of Weather Underground and Black Liberation Army members who ambushed a Brink's armored car carrying $1.6 million at a mall in Nanuet, N.Y. One guard was killed at the scene. A second was badly wounded. Two police officers were subsequently killed after they pulled over one of the getaway cars.

she helped Black Liberation Army leader Joanne Chesimard, who had been convicted of killing a New Jersey state trooper, escape from prison and flee to Cuba in 1979. Buck also was implicated in another armored car robbery in 1981 in which a guard was killed.

Obama, Ayers, and Dohrn lived and attended college in the same Manhattan neighborhood when the 1983 Brinks robbery in Nyack took place. Two police officers and a Brinks guard were gunned down by members of the Black Liberation Army and still-active members of the by-then defunct Weather Underground just 22 miles away. The fake IDs used to rent the vehicles in the robbery attempt were traced back to Manhattan and Bernardine Dohrn, and she went to jail for refusing to cooperate with the grand jury and explain her role in the crime.

Barack Obama was then in his early 20s, not eight.

I’m sure she’ll be included in ABC’s This Week In Memoriam segment. But Mark Fydrich was not.

Typical Associated Press: doesn’t even mention Ayers and Dohrn. Remember how the Swift Boat veterans were marginalized because out of the 250 or so of them, a few knew someone who knew someone who knew someone that knew Bush?

Another freedom fighter bights the dust? ( heavy sarc.)

Its hard to mourn a fascist who has aided the killings of LEOs. And thats what she and the Ayers crowd were, fascists, thugs, killers of innocent people who were true Americans, which the killers were not then and are not even to this day.

These are the heroes of the current pretender in the WH.

SHAME ON ALL WHO VOTED FOR HIM!

There is nothing laudatory about the jingoistic life of Marilyn Buck. Better luck in the next world !

Marilyn Buck, a violent leftist incarcerated for 25 years for her role in some of the most notorious radical acts of the 1980s, including the bombing of the U.S. Capitol...

1971 : (WEATHER UNDERGROUND BOMBING OF US CAPITOL & OBAMA'S CHICAGO NEIGHBOR WILLIAM AYERS)

SEPTEMBER 11, 2001 : (NY TIMES PRINTS ARTICLE ON OBAMA'S CHICAGO NEIGHBOR WILLIAM AYERS & THE TERRORIST ORGANIZATION WUO... [ON THE DAY OF THE 9/11 TERROR ATTACKS]) Now he has written a book, "Fugitive Days" (Beacon Press, September). Mr. Ayers, who is 56, calls it a memoir, somewhat coyly perhaps, since he also says some of it is fiction. He writes that he participated in the bombings of New York City Police Headquarters in 1970, of the Capitol building in 1971, the Pentagon in 1972. But Mr. Ayers also seems to want to have it both ways, taking responsibility for daring acts in his youth, then deflecting it.
"Is this, then, the truth?," he writes. "Not exactly. Although it feels entirely honest to me."
But why would someone want to read a memoir parts of which are admittedly not true? Mr. Ayers was asked.
"Obviously, the point is it's a reflection on memory," he answered. "It's true as I remember it."

1981 : (NY : WEATHERMEN TERRORISTS DAVID GILBERT & KATHY BOUDIN ARE INVOLVED IN THE ROBBERY OF A BRINKS ARMORED TRUCK THAT LEAVES 4 PEOPLE DEAD -- See CHESA BOUDIN, AYERS, DOHRN) They [Mr. Ayers and Ms. Dohrn] have also brought up Chesa Boudin, 21, the son of David Gilbert and Kathy Boudin, who are serving prison terms for a 1981 robbery of a Brinks truck in Rockland County, N.Y., that left four people dead. Last month, Ms. Boudin's application for parole was rejected. ---- "No Regrets for a Love Of Explosives ," Dinitia Smith. New York Times. (Late Edition (East Coast)). New York, N.Y.: Sep 11, 2001. pg. E.1
********
.. Mr. Ayers and Ms. Dohrn tried to persuade Ms. Boudin to surrender because she was pregnant. But she refused, and went on to participate in the Brink's robbery. When she was arrested, Ms. Dohrn and Mr. Ayers volunteered to care for Chesa, then 14 months old, and became his legal guardians....
A few months later Ms. Dohrn was called to testify about the robbery. Ms. Dohrn had not seen Ms. Boudin for a year, she said, and knew nothing of it. Ms. Dohrn was asked to give a handwriting sample, and refused, she said, because the F.B.I. already had one in its possession. "I felt grand juries were illegal and coercive," she said. For refusing to testify, she was jailed for seven months, and she and Mr. Ayers married during a furlough.
Once again, Chesa was without a mother. "It was one of the hardest things I did," said Ms. Dohrn of going to jail. ---- "No Regrets for a Love Of Explosives ," Dinitia Smith. New York Times. (Late Edition (East Coast)). New York, N.Y.: Sep 11, 2001. pg. E.1

Anyone ever thought that these are punk gangsters using politics as a cover to rob amd murder?

I remember several groups who claimed “political resistance” as a reason to rob and kill.

Now that this woman is dead Bill Ayers can leave the protection of his friends at University of Illinois at Chicago.

The top dog there announced he is retiring and she'll miss him.

I don't think the investigation should be allowed to stop just because this ol'gal didn't rat everybody out. Bill's still there. His friends at UIC know something.

Other than the fact this loser died about 40 years too late, I have no comment.

Incredible that she did not die in prison. I’m an NYPDer. The BLA’s MO was to walk up to two cops on the street and start blasting without warning. They targeted black and white officers who were partners. Among the cops murdered were Waverly Jones and Joe Piagentini in one attack and Rocco Laurie and Gregory Foster in another.
When they killed foster and Laurie they pumped bullets into them while they were down. The bullets passed through them, bounced off the sidewalk and went back up into them again. The BLA murders danced in the street after the deed. Foster and Laurie were both Vietnam USMC vets.

The sad thing about this is she didn’t die in prison.

The sad thing about this is that she wasn't duly executed for her crimes...

Rest of the story.

She's a local from right around here (Killeen/Temple Texas area)

Not an area conducive for the creation of radical leftist dirtbags.

Guess some commie professors made quite an impression on her less-than-stable impressionable mind.
