Ariz. escapees linked to couple's murder (OK couple killed in NM)
KOB-TV4, Albuquerque ^ | August 7, 2010 | Charlie Pabst

Eyewitness News 4 has confirmed that two convicted killers who escaped last week from an Arizona prison have been linked to a double homicide in eastern New Mexico earlier this week.

U.S. Marshals believe that John McCluskey and Tracy Province—who are still on the run with a woman named Casslyn Welch— were involved in the homicide of a couple found in a burned trailer last week.

The pickup truck pulling the trailer was found in Albuquerque.

The Office of the Medical Investigator has not positively identified the couple who was killed, or said how they died.

State police believe the couple is Linda and Gary Haas, who owned the vehicles.

U.S. Marshals will not say how they linked the escapees to the homicide.

Marshals say they are not sure if the escapees are still in New Mexico. They do believe the three are still together.

A third escapee, Daniel Renwick, was caught last Sunday in Colorado.

Probably connected through fingerprints found in the couples stolen truck. And very likely either holed up in the ABQ area or are the run with another stolen/hijacked truck.

NM abolished the death penalty this summer thanks to Bill Richardson. When these bastards are caught I hope they suffer death by cop.

This is scary stuff. Clearly these guys are cold blooded killers. I have family in NM, I’ll worry about them.

This is so sad. I hope they catch those 2 and fry them. Too bad the electric chair has been retired.

A few days ago, a grandmother from a small town in OK was killed at a gas station in Amarillo. Some perv tried to grab her 12-year-old granddaughter, and when she stepped in to stop him, he shot her and killed her. At least he was shot and killed later on by a police officer.

If government cannot fulfill its primary duty to protect citizens from criminals, then what good is it at all?

Thanks Dave! This is pretty frightening, especially with how I’m on the road all the time.

I hope not. I don’t wish the job of shooting it out with this level of crazed folk on the police. Better they dash their car off a cliff somewhere we can find and ID their dead bodies.

Can’t. Richardson abolished it last year (not this summer as stated in my first post).

Now that they have killed again and are armed (including weapons they likely got from the couple they killed) they are extremely dangerous and unlikely to give up easily unless completely surprised and surrounded.

“If government cannot fulfill its primary duty to protect citizens from criminals, then what good is it at all?”

How do you expect the Leftists to advance obese government sprawl if you get tough on the predators of society? There is a 65% recidivism rate for criminals when they are let out of prison because the wheels of justice are so lenient with them. Judges, lawyers, cops, prison guards and related industries need job security.

You see the Left letting our domestic predators out of jails and prisons, letting in our foreign predators (Muslims) in to the country, and re-introducing natural predators back in the wild (wolves) areas of America. Think of all the chaos, destruction, and death it will bring to the lives of Americans. The insurance industry, floral shops, casket makers, and funeral homes will prosper more and more as these predators continue to increase in society. We’ll be like many Turd World nations where they already have these problems.

Besides, Richardson is busy mulling over a pardon for Billy the Kid.

What senseless murders. I see a huge, huge lawsuit in the future against that prison.

They had help and knew which area of the private prison didn't have guards. Woman accomplice threw wire cutters over the fence and they cut themselves out.

I’m hoping for “death by cop” for these guys, whether they want it or not.
