Could the "birther" movement be fading away?
Hawaii says requests for President Obama's birth certificate have declined dramatically since Republican Gov. Linda Lingle signed into law a bill that allowed the state to ignore repeated demands for the document.
The number of requests has dropped from 10-20 a week to only two or three since the law passed in May, The Associated Press reports.
"We have a handful of repeat requesters, but they know about the law," said Janice Okubo, a Department of Health spokesperson.

For this case? They should be sending requests to the Mossad.

I guess you could say its dead because all of the courts in the US are either cowards that are afraid of black violence, or are part of the Imperial Government that thinks that Citizens in a Representative Democracy don’t have standing to ask if an elected official is qualified for office.

Hawaii doesn't issue paper copies of birth certificates, but officials have confirmed that Obama was in fact born in Hawaii. If they don't issue paper
copies of birth certificates then how could one be posted?
The Obama campaign posted a copy of his "certificate of live birth," which is similar to a birth certificate, online in 2008.
Un-friggin-believable!

What a stupid observation. Contrary to what the MSM say and think, birthers are far from stupid. Why would they waste their time in making further requests when they know the politcal hacks in Honolulu are now hiding in the closet behind the ‘screw the citizens law’ they created for themselves.
To: biggredd1
That was a transcript from a 2007 show...do you honestly believe that reflects Matthew’s current views?
And has he suddenly become a credible source for conservatives to rely on for information?
The Obama campaign posted a copy of his "certificate of live birth," which is similar to a birth certificate, online in 2008.
Furthermore, you simpleton, you're feeding the very fires of those asking for a long form birth certificate. You're publicly stating that what is being presented isn't a real birth certificate and is only "similar" to one.
And you can't even read that it's a "certification" of live birth, not a "certificate" of live birth.

After thousands of people have asked for this stuff and got nothing, it tends to slow down the number of requests.
I don't think high volumes of requests are going to make them change their minds. Another approach is needed.

Ah, no....we've just quit requesting and started taking Hawaii's refusal to produce a legal birth certificate to mean that it does not exist. We've come to the only logical conclusion we can.
Also, isn't it rich that they try to paint the picture that the "birther" movement is losing steam because of the falling off of requests when Hawaii has stated they won't honor any more requests. It's like beating someone unconscious and then saying, "Well, I asked if he needed help and he never answered!"

No....It’s the Lamestream media that’s dead.
It’s certain that not a single request about Barry’s birth certificate came from a member of the State Run Media.
Instead they ridicule concerned citizens who looking for the truth. No reporting on why the gag order was needed. No reporting on why Barry won’t release any of his files.
To: maggief
NO,The birther movement is Not dead we still want to know if Obama is legally eligible to be President of the United States and we know that the President is lying through his teeth that be is eligible.
Though he has a a lot of people in his party and a number in the Republican party afraid to challenge is right to be president.

Speculation about the President’s birthplace has continued on the Internet for nearly two years, despite INSUFFICIENT evidence that he was born in the nation’s 50th state in 1961.
Between this and the MSM completely ignoring that there are zero education records for this guy, no record of his Illinois Senate voting record etc, one can only conclude that that the media is either:
1. collectively incredibly lazy
2. collectively in the tank for a failed pres & dem congress
3. grossly incompetent

Is Sheridan stupid? Maybe, maybe not.
One things for sure... he thinks the American people are too stupid to see through the wall of subterfuge and obfuscation put up by the lame stream media in defense of the leftist stooge they promoted to the Presidency of the United States.

It was a "certification" of live birth, not a "certificate of live birth". It was not posted by Obama, but by 3rd parties. It is not similar to a birth certificate, it does not include the hospital name, doctor or most of the data on an actual "birth certificate".
The poll on the page shows 96% of respondents stating that BHO was "definately born in the U.S.". My question, upon what "facts" do they base that opinion? There are none to support the statement.

IMHO the issue is simmering. If Onada tries to run again he will have to produce a credible place of birth document.
If he tries to game around it, I think it will provide the catalyst for genuine revolt.

Joseph Farah at WND is floating a pretty good idea: petition all 50 state legislatures to pass laws requiring each candidate to prove his or her eligibility to serve in the office for which they're running before they can be certified to go on the state's ballot. In order to be re-elected, the Obammunist would
have to put his money where his mouth is and produce a true, original birth certificate. If not, he loses each state where such a law is on the books.
If all, or even most state with conservative leadership were to pass such a law, and the Obammunist failed to get on their ballots, he'd be toast.

And also, being as the '08 COLB was produced with a word processor, while in 1961 they were typed, it stands to reason that we still haven't seen anything closely approximating the original.

At least California SoS Frank Jordan did when he kept Eldridge Cleaver off the 1968 Presidential ballot, because Jordan said according to Cleaver's birth certificate, he wasn't old enough to run for the office (mentioned in Keyes v. Bowen).
To: thecodont
Right. The SoS has the responsibility of certifying candidates wanting on the ballot. At least that's how it is here in Idaho. Some may be be hesitant to do so, but if state law required verifying a candidate's eligibility (and therefore his citizenship), there wouldn't be any way to wiggle out of it.

Wait... what? I don’t think anyone has stated it was the 1961 copy of his birth certificate. Everyone acknowledges that is it SIMILAR to a computer generated COLB. The problem is that it appears to be forged AND isn’t a genuine Certificate of Birth because Hawaii issued COLB’s for those born outside the state.
Anyway, just a little confused by your post.

This is a job the Secretary of State is supposed to do, right? Not unless a state statute explicitly directs the SOS to do it. Otherwise, in the case of presidential candidates, the SOS might take the word of the nominating party's convention that the candidate(s) meet(s) the eligibility requirements. To have do so with Obama in '08 would have been participating in a fraud, but one for which the SOS would have a ready excuse.
To: maggief
The number of requests has dropped from 10-20 a week to only two or three since the law passed in May10-20??? Janice, hon, didn't you last say your offices were inundated with countless requests and that you simply didn't have enough employees to take care of them all? Wasn't that supposed to have been the reason for the new law? You're admitting now that you wasted the taxpayers' dollars with this law over a dozen or so requests? Not to mention much of those were second and third requests (repeat requesters!) to get you to respond to their first request.
