What is it like to be a younger federal worker? (WP commie blog discussion)

A new movement is shaking up the federal bureaucracy, as an expanding pool of idealistic, results-oriented Gen X and Yers challenges the predictability and authority-driven rules of the World War II generation and the pay-your-dues baby boomers who followed.

The Obama administration hopes to fill 50,000 to 60,000 entry-level jobs in the next year, the largest burst since the Kennedy era. And the pipeline at the entry and mid-levels is opening fast as close to half a million baby boomers and older workers head out the door in the next four years.

Are you one of the younger generation of federal workers? Tell us about your experiences on the job. Or, if you're an older federal worker, let us know what it's like to engage with the new generation of younger federal workers.

Weigh in below.

59,999 of those jobs will be watching, regulating, or controlling the rest of us.

Great. More money for bureaucrats who I’m certain will make such a great difference for the nation.

Mr. Obama just can’t count.

“What is it like to be a younger federal worker?...”

Worthless degree, no possibilities for employment in a profit making company, and no morals.....that’s what it’ll be like.

One out of 5 Americans is out of job - so what else are these Elites who have bankrupted the Country going to do? As long as printed-paper-money has value, and retail economy can be sustained, figure out how to keep people pacified. Either through unemployment benefits, or Govt. Jobs. While they keep this charade going, they keep preparing FEMA and DHS for riot training and other seize and measure activities, and keep turning shut down US military bases into prisons for future use. They need time to prepare themselves, when they WOULD WITHOUT DOUBT DEVALUE DOLLAR. They have no choice. Only way they can get American People to accept Global Currency is to collapse the Dollar and out of fear and desperation, people would have no choice.

None of these measure are about addressing the real needs/problems, education, fair trade, fair markets, etc.

Only attempt is to keep the lie going.

The man did say, “We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we’ve set. We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded.”

Desperate Americans will take these jobs, and along with the theft of our earnings and private healthcare...more and more of us will be unable to fight back, by the ballot box or otherwise.

And so what if we still have a 2nd amendment...who will do battle with those that are giving us a paycheck and giving us healthcare for our children??

We are done.

I’d say his target market are college graduates...and the method of inducement will be “loan forgiveness”. You think they took over the school loans out of goodness??

one wonders how many new private sector jobs it would take to reimburse the treasury for the creation of these taxpayer funded jobs, and why isn’t his focus oncreating these jobs first?

Yes, and last week it was reported that the commission Obama tasked to do HIS job, will recommend a military pay freeze, and today Gates announced a downsizing of military leadership.

Study: States must fill $1 trillion pension gap
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/35448576/ns/us_news-life
HARRISBURG, Pa. - States may be forced to reduce benefits, raise taxes or slash government services to address a $1 trillion funding shortfall in public sector retirement benefits, according to a new study that warns of even more debilitating costs if immediate action isn’t taken.
Another time bomb waiting to go off.
I’ve been reading this for years.

—nowhere is it more true than CA an NY. They are the models of our pending demise. don’t expect any democrats or RINOs in government to take any serious action .

Remember, folks, that the UK healthcare system employs 2 million people. The population of the UK is about 1/6 of the United States.

That means Obamacare will eventualy employ about 4-6 million ADDITIONAL SEIU members!

Yesterday I posted an article stating that NY has an unfunded pension obligation of 3 Trillion.

This is an emergency Bob, we cannot wait for numerous election cycles to fix this, more and more citizens fall victim to serfdom each day.

And when heathcare kicks in..even worse...not to mention the new gov program for those who want to buy longterm care ins, it opens in January...people will begin to pay the gov for their housing when they get old!!!!!!

We must put the brakes on now!

Exactly!!!......The private sector produces something of value...the Gov. sector takes that value...
both are jobs but only the private sector can produce wealth..

If Govt. jobs are good...how come they're not pushing for us all to have one...Ohhh but wait..that would be communism..... We all could pretend to work...and the Govt could pretend to pay us...

“We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded.”

Got that already. There’s:

1) King obuma’s Fat Welfare Momma Division

2) The Streetcorner Rappers Who Can’t Hold Their Glocks Straight brigade

3) And College Kids Who Wet Their Pants expeditionary force.

Now, they may not be powerful, strong or well-funded, but the king will take what he can get.
