Is the tea-party movement Islamophobic?
First Amendment Center ^ | August 1, 2010 | Charles C. Haynes

Posted on 08/09/2010 1:56:57 PM PDT by ZULU

The current wave of anti-mosque protests around the country represents a new threat to the religious freedom of Muslims in America — a threat directed not just at terrorists who act in the name of Islam, but at all Muslims and Islam itself.

Incidents of discrimination and bias aimed at Muslim Americans have been rising since the 9/11 terrorist attacks. But anti-Muslim rhetoric has taken an ominous turn in recent months as a growing number of political and community leaders — some with tea-party affiliations — have begun warning of a “Muslim takeover” of America.

Phobic means fearful. Yes, I am fearful of Islam. Hate them? No. Not yet, anyway.

Hmmm, why don’t we ask the 10 Christian missionaries who were bringing medical attention to remote Afghan villages. Oh, yeah, they’re dead.

“phobic” - most misused suffix in the English language today.

Just because you disagree - or even hate - something doesn’t mean you have a FEAR of it.

I hate cauliflower. I guess I’m cauliflowerphobic. Pathetic. Count me as liberalphobic, too. And Obamaphobic.

Oh hogwash. There are mosques all over America. They can even build this one - just not where they have it planned. Move it away from this particular historic site and build away.

The author of this piece of drivel is either an idiot who can't understand what has been said by those who object, or he's a liar who does understand but is purposefully misrepresenting the objections.

Or he could be like our president and be both an idiot and a liar.

I just regret I posetd this idiotic article at the end of the day. If had seen it earlier, it would have kept going for 12 hours.

The man who wrote this is a perfect example of the kind of elitist liberal fool who has turned academia on its head and by his cultural obtuseness, will destroy western civilization through Burkaphilia.

Is “islamophobic” in the same class of liberal-speak as “racist”? It appears so, for these are words the left finds useful to jab others with, to shut them up and put them down.

I am not “islamophobic”. I understand Islam perfectly. It is a religion that teaches demands that I convert, submit or die. I understand from its own documents that it teaches that it is perfectly fine for its followers to lie and use any subterfuge to advance it. Its own documents say that once a person has accepted it, even when acceptence was done under duress and coercion, that it is a capital crime to recant that acceptance. Futher, it teaches, again from its own documents, that it is the duty of all faithful followers to kill anyone who recants.

When the left (er, “progressives”) claim that saying such makes me “islamophobic”, it says far more about their chaotic thinking than anything else.

Yes. And we're serial killer-phobic too, for exactly the same reasons.

Frowning takes 68 muscles.
Smiling takes 6.
Pulling this trigger takes 2.
I'm lazy.

He thinks it is “paranoia” to wonder if things like Dearbornistan are signs of Islamic imperialism in America. We can look at Europe and see how the tide is turning there.

All of it is funded from the same place.

PS, the KGB was in league with US citizens to promote Communism in the West over our Constitutional form of government.

I think people are "getting past" the 9-11 information and as with everything else, looking more closely at causes rather than reviewing over and over the effect. When you take a closer look at Shari'a, you discover if there could be an "opposite" to the Tea Party Movement, this would probably be "it." Nothing could be more opposed to the mindset of a Tea Party Member than someone pushing Shari'a. But I don't think its just Tea Party folks.

I think MANY people are waking up, LEARNING, READING ... trying to figure out what the heck is going wrong. This isn't "business as usual" and people sense that ... and because their senses are alert, they start looking around for the source of the danger. Because of 911, the danger is spotted pretty quickly coming from the Muslim world. 911 was an indicator, the terrorist attacks since, Obama and his 'connections' and 'concessions' to the Muslim world ... Iran's noisy talk about nukes and destroying Israel ...again ... it all points toward Mecca!

That the Tea Party folks are sort of singled out for this is also typical ... there is some Islamophobia going on, where could it come from ... look as FAR AWAY philosophically from Shari'a and you'll probably find the local Tea Party Group. So it's a natural connection.

But as America wakes up, (The Tea Party folks may have awoken first), not just to Democrats and Liberals ... it is waking up to the Shari'a threat ... although mostly they don't know what Shari'a is. (For those folks, go to The Patriot's Flag - Shari'a for dar es-salaam). Hopefully people will start looking at the drivers that are causing the danger. The topic will then move from focus on the Tea Party folks to a focus on something far more dangerous coming steadily at us.

"Phobic" is a leftist code word for "racist". ANY objection you have to ANY thing is either "racist", or "phobic".

They are seeing that after the Black Caucus hearing N-words when they're not there, and Shirley Sherrods foray into cracker-hate, that the "racist" word is not working any more...so they're switching gears to the "phobic" word that is usually associated with homosexuality.

I actually hate anyone who is trying to take down this country, and put my children and the next 5 generations is peril and tyranny. I have the pictures of Daniel Perl's head lying on his body, and many of the 9/11, and that is about all I want to know about islam.

So this Charles Haynes can take his "phobic" and cram them, but white guilt is a thing of the past, and I - for one - refuse to pull and "obama" and bow to the bastards.

The First Amendment Center should remember, that without the Second Amendment, the First Amendment would soon be a thing of the past.
