White House unloads anger over criticism from 'professional left’ By Sam Youngman - 08/10/10 06:00 AM ET

The White House is simmering with anger at criticism from liberals who say President Obama is more concerned with deal-making than ideological purity.

During an interview with The Hill in his West Wing office, White House press secretary Robert Gibbs blasted liberal naysayers, whom he said would never regard anything the president did as good enough.

“I hear these people saying he’s like George Bush. Those people ought to be drug tested,” Gibbs said. “I mean, it’s crazy.”

The press secretary dismissed the “professional left” in terms very similar to those used by their opponents on the ideological right, saying, “They will be satisfied when we have Canadian healthcare and we’ve eliminated the Pentagon. That’s not reality.”

Of those who complain that Obama caved to centrists on issues such as healthcare reform, Gibbs said: “They wouldn’t be satisfied if Dennis Kucinich was president.”

You have to give them credit. They are doing everything they can to get Obama to 30% approval faster than any President in history.

What-—Gibbs and company didn’t expect that the monster upon which they rode into the White House would turn on them?

Gibbs is right - it is crazy to compare Obama to Bush. Bush never had the unemployment rate over 9.5%. Bush protected this country by going after the terrorists. Bush respects this great country.

Gibbs is right - Obama has not and can not do any of those things.

I’m really not that convinced that he disagrees with them.

It’s only that reality has hit him and he has realized that our system was set up by the founders with the worst of human nature, which he epitomizes, in mind.

He and they are THWARTED by dead white men who studied the Bible and understand the reality of the human condition.

PS, I only included “white” in “dead white men”,
because that is the term the left uses to disparage and dismiss
the founders.

They must be referring to the part where he screws his base just before mid-term elections.

The ‘professional left’ could have:

1) a gun to their head

2) held by a Khmer Rouge communist,

3) with Mao banners all around

4) a whole crowd quoting Karl Marx

5) a Stalin look-a-like giving the firing orders

6) witnessed by a crowd including Norm Chomsky, Bill Ayers and Fidel Castro

....and still bitch that the bullet just entering their head wasn’t ideologically pure enough.
