On the one hand, the NRA says that they evaluate each candidate on the single issue of gun rights, without the consideration of the bigger picture (which would be the Pelosi Puppy Syndrome).

BUT

On the other hand, they are considering endorsing Reid so as to keep Schumer on the sidelines. Big picture or individual consideration?

Chet Edwards is the closest thing to being a Republican that any democRAT could be.

However...I say again...HOWEVER, he is still a democRAT.

I knew him personally while I was at Fort Hood and he is extremely supportive of soldiers and the military.

But the fact remains:

He has consciously chosen to remain as a democRAT for many, many years.

Chet Edwards had an ACU Rating of 16% SIXTEEN in 09 and an 8 EIGHT in 08. He is SCUM and number one on the Texas hit list. The NRA will get my membership cancellation tomorrow.

If by some miracle all anti-2A policy would disappear and restore us to the spirit of "shall not be infringed" today, it would be the NRA's worst nightmare. They NEED the issue. They NEED to be able to scare their sheep into writing that check every year. They have a hell of an overhead to fund and that, apparently, is their first priority nowadays.

They still do a good job at the things for which they were originally devoted like marksmanship training and competitions, but the relatively new political advocacy wing has been hijacked.

My support now goes to organizations like SAF and Georgia Carry.
