'Will retaliate if offended by US', warns Chinese General

BEIJING: A Chinese General on Friday termed as "flagrant provocation" US plans to send a nuclear-powered aircraft carrier to the Yellow Sea and said the country would retaliate if "offended".

"A country needs respect, so does a military. We will retaliate if we are offended," Major General Luo Yuan, deputy secretary-general of the People's Liberation Army's (PLA) Academy of Military Sciences, wrote in an editorial in the PLA Daily.

The US is "pushing its security boundary to the doorstep of others — the Yellow Sea, South China Sea and so on," Luo said.

China had in the recent weeks voice its firm opposition to activities of foreign military vessels or planes in the Yellow Sea and China's coastal waters, saying they undermine it security interests. Despite China's warning, the US insists on sending the carrier ‘USS George Washington', he said

The General was reacting to remarks by Admiral Mike Mullen, Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, that the carrier will always go into international waters.

China is developing a new missile called Dong Feng 21D, that could penetrate the defenses of even the most advanced aircraft carrier at a distance of more than 1,500 km.

“the “Free Trade” dumb*sses in our own party are tearing down American industry as fast as they can, and sending them to China.”

It's not as simple as that. I agree with you that trade with China has been one sided and has damaged the U.S. and enriched China. However, by far the biggest problem with China has been the technology transfers in which the U.S. government gives away our technological advances and gets nothing in return.

The missile technology that was transferred to China was simply treason.

Free trade with China has been pushed by the Democrats, more than conservatives. Sen Feingold’s husband as well as other Democrats have been big operatives in China. And don't forget all the money the Clintons got from Johnny Chung, Charley Trie, the Riadis etc.

American manufacturing became uncompetitive largely due to unions and the regulatory climate.

But despite all this the U.S. is still by far the strongest country in the world both militarily and economically. The fact that the current administration lets other countries insult and threaten the U.S. is an enormous failure of the current administration.

What would happen if they sunk one of our carriers?

Nothing would happen. We would send a letter of protest to the UN. We are *bankrupt*. If China stops buying and dumps their t-bill holdings, our economy, nation, and military all come to an immediate halt.

Will they not even give our government a chance to apologize first?

What would happen if they sunk one of our carriers? In one move, China would alter the balance of global power.

Global thermal nuclear war. If China dares to fire a ballistic missile at one of our carriers which is sovereign American soil just like an embassy or military base they will have sealed their fate. This is nothing short of an act of Global strategic warfare and 600 million chicoms in the cities would be vaporized as our Trident D5 rain down on them, followed by the MM3 and mopped up with Bones,Buffs and Beaks at least with W or a real CIC the Marxist usurper would prob just go on more vacation.

"WRT China, what president has done anything to make them believe otherwise.

We for some insane reason long ago came to the (wrong) conclusion that America should maintain a posture of weakness and submissiveness in every way about China.
"

Yes. It started with Nixon's favored constituents and has continued with every administration since then. Up to this point in time, real men have been increasingly prevented by zoning, other regulations and family-busting tactics and laws from starting new manufacturing businesses. With western culture economies crumbling because of such effeminate and thieving foolery, those policies will dissolve after the defaults.

Reject and ridicule politics as they are, and prepare yourself and your loved ones with frugality, inventiveness and foresight.

"It’s like everyone is hypnotized. Even smart people are asleep, and frankly DETERMINED not to wake up."

Most of the denials and ignorance that we see are from people who work for various levels of government and government-dependent corporates. They like the situation as it is. Any mention of their unemployment to come evokes fear, and sometimes, hostility.

Let them be. Let them fall out of their positions, after the bond collapse commences. We need new business and government leadership. ..."back to the future."

Gee another “religion” of peace and love.

Get with the program, Obie, Communists hate us and will try to conqueror or destroy us. So too will Islamic Jihadists.

What about “conqueror” don’t you understand?

The new Chinese missile they speak of is BS.

I doubt we could build one to the parameters proffered.

The Chinese Navy would live a short, but very exciting life in a naval battle with the US Navy.

"What would happen if they sunk one of our carriers? In one move, China would alter the balance of global power."

Why, that's silly.

The PRICE of a Carrier is nuclear war...and Obama would not get a vote in the matter.

There are standing Contingency Plans that allow any Theater Commander to protect nukes with nukes.

That is PRECISELY what would occur and Theater Commander have the go-ahead in Contingency to act in that manner...and Obama would not have a say in the matter.

We would put 1500 warheads on target in 30mins or less.

We would have the ability to follow-up with another 3000 within 2 hours.

Exactly one would be hard pressed to find 4500 strategic population centers that much megatonage is nothing short of a complete genocide of the sino people well exceeding the needed destruction of a MAD scenario. We have 14 Trident subs each with 24 D5 with 8 to 12 warheads each. 2688 – 4032 MIRVS we keep at least 8 subs in the water at all times, and the D5 has the range to hit the Chicoms from port in Wash state. If the sh1t hits the fan the subs can ballast down and tilt over sideways and surface launch from the dock side. The tilt is to ensure if a birds first stage doesn’t light off the bird falls in the water hundreds of feet off to the side of the Ohio class in case peeps are wondering why you need to ballast over to surface launch.

And 100kts each.

China MIGHT be able to put 100 warheads on us, but I doubt that. They only have about 2 dozen real ICBMs and 2 real Strategic subs...usually in port.

We should build a monument to our greatness on some Chinese sacred site somewhere.

Let’s see if the Chinese get offended or if it really is just “racism” on the part of Americans.

The Bushes and the Clintons should have figured this out by Clinton’s second term. Since it is Special Education Week, lets hear it for the last three Presidents of the United States.
