SoHo Properties, Developer of Park51 Mosque Near Ground Zero, Willing to Talk About Moving
The New York Daily News ^ | Friday, August 13, 2010 | Glenn Blain

Sponsors of the proposed mosque near Ground Zero are not slamming the door on Gov. Paterson's idea to build the center someplace else.

"We are open to a conversation to find out more on what the governor has in mind," the center, Park51, said in a Twitter post yesterday.

Mosque developer Sharif El-Gamal has said the group is interested in hearing from Paterson but added that "this has always been about serving lower Manhattan."

He did not return calls and emails yesterday.

This openness to moving the site of the mosque away from Ground Zero has been totally missed by the rest of the mainstream media--and Obama who could have saved himself alot of grief if he wasn't so arrogantly clueless.

A Google news search shows two U.S. news reports, two UPI wire reports, one Jewish news and one Indian news report.

The blogosphere, including yours truly, totally missed this when it was reported on Friday.

Sure...they’ll relocate after demanding a premium for the property. Somehow, those profits will find their way overseas to fund terror. Just a guess.

It would be wonderful if it is moved.. Alas with this bunch it is talk, talk, talk. That is what they do to make the masses feel like they are doing something about it.. Oh I am sick of them “talking”.. Now that is just me!

>> Gov. Paterson’s idea

I wonder what NYS and Federal law says about providing state property for sharia. Is it similar to hosting a foreign embassy?

Camel’s nose under the edge of the tent IMO.

“...”this has always been about serving lower Manhattan.”

Manhattan ain’t that big, and there are a number of mosques already existing there. I call BS.

They will not move this project. It doesn’t make any sense to do your Endzone Dance in the Parking Lot.

Cordoba House is the proposed name of the mosque. Park51 is the name of the development company behind it.

I think we better be careful about describing this new place as a mosque, a very specific type of building for the worship of Islam. A mosque mostly has minarets for muezzin calls to worship--not going to work in noisy New York City!

...or they will build a structure, call it something else other than a mosque, and once it is built, and eyes are all turned in other directions, move their prayer rugs, and foot baths into the structure.

One way or another as long as the Burlington Coat Factory is taken down, and a structure funded by Arabs is its replacement, then a mosque it is going to be.

The only way to beat this is to destroy their movement period.

Expose, expose, expose them. We can’t expose them enough. The American people cannot be allowed to sleep, or have their attention(s) diverted on this matter.

Most people do not recognize that what happens in a mosque is sedition. Pure and simple. Islam is not just a “religion”, it is a cult, it is it’s own government, its judicial...is in its sharia, and its military (jihadis) all rolled into one with one intent ...and that is to rule wherever they take root. It is a invasive, systemic infection looking to take over the host once it has quantum.

This is not just a “religion”, but something that cloaks itself in those terms so it should not be given the same treatment contemplated under the first amendment. It’s rules are to consume whatever government is wherever it goes. To supplant and replace.

The sooner America learns this , the better.

Obama? Obama and Company? Should be tried for treason in this issue for promoting the establishment of a foreign government on our soils.

Great idea!

Move it right back to Mecca or some other third world islamic nation, where it belongs!

There are two different interests behind the mosque. There are the property owners who bought the building speculatively several years ago in the hope that they could develop it into high-end residential property.

They hoped their initial investment would be repaid with a profit as soon as a large property management company agreed to a joint venture financing. That never happened.

They were underwater on an unprofitable building for years. Then someone realized that if NYC real estate financiers were unwilling to throw away cash, wealthy sheiks might be if the project were near to their hearts. Enter firebrand imam al-Rauf to market the new strategy of a mosque.

I'm sure the property owners would be happy if the state of NY wrote them a check to buy out their property and relocate. Rauf will not be, since he's the one whose primary motive is to give the dead the middle finger.

I’m sorry, but isn’t this all irrelevant if the city doesn’t sell the property next door, owned by Con Ed to the developer?

They're saying this now because a) they know the American people are riled even if the MSM says nothing about this, and b) they know that mosque will NEVER be built on that site, because freedom-loving Americans will physically interdict the construction.

Can you imagine how difficult it is to build one building when MILLIONS of people don't want it? Just ONE successful act of sabotage out of THOUSANDS, and they have to start all over. And it repeats.

No, the Victory Dance Mosque and Sedition Hall will never get built at Ground Zero.

I think one of the things that bothers me the most is the design of this proposed building.

You have the Dome of the Crock

The Kaaba

The Five Pillars of Islam

AND NOW THIS!

If you've ever been over to the sandbox, you can understand why this object is so VENERATED. Maybe the fact we have indoor plumbing is what angriates them the most.

What does he mean by “serving lower Manhattan”? There’s NOTHING THERE. There’s no “community” in lower Manhattan to have a “community center.”

The whole thing is clearly a political maneuver, to be taken as a political symbol by Muslims.

“Obama: We Need Courage”

“Obama Saves Courage (Thanksgiving Turkey’s name)”
http://www.blogrunner.com/snapshot/D/6/0/obama_saves_courage/

But, folks, I remind you..........
“Hamas (Islamic Resistance Movement) is the acronym for the Arabic ‘Harakat Al-Muqawama Al-Islamia,’ a ‘word meaning courage and bravery.’”

http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php?title=HAMAS

Hamas MEANS courage.

Once 0bama said, “Courage,” we saw HAMAS & the PA situation fire up earlier.....

“I will stand with the Muslims if things turn in an ugly direction.” (paraphrase) Barack Hussein Obama, 2008.

Joe Biden is tight with Hezbollah.

Hillary Clinton had/has a ‘close’ Saudi female aide-de-camp and close Saudi connections.

I predicted there would be an offer to ‘trade down’ once it
became clear to them it would be a LOSING BATTLE to try to
build at 51 Park; I said over a month ago that Cordoba House would NEVER
be built at 51 Park. NOW, going forward , the next new and just as important battle is to demand that it not be built anywhere in New York. I don’t believe they’re willing to forsake the ‘symbolism’ and all that it means to them to go
ahead as planned, but if they are willing, a new “Learning Center” will stand as the same kind of Conquest Symbol, and they’ll still gloat and make their point. This is like a lawyer asking for ten million in damages and settling for one million.
