For white bands, it would have to be Stones.
BTW, I don’t know how your song list is R&B.
Gallows Poll, for example, is actually an old English folksong. Others have covered it, for example Steeleye Span - “The Prickly Bush”.

Yep, was ‘77. Zep played Tampa and I begged her let me drive the 6 hours to go see them. She didn’t think it was a good idea for a 16 year old to be doing that. She was probably right.

C’mon, you know R&B is used as a generalization to describe the kind of rock both Zep and the Stones recorded. Whatever the true definition of R&B, both groups are in relative proximity to it.
