Math not your strongest suit I guess.
That nails it.
Something earthshattering happened in the sixties. God must have removed his hand of protection covering us in America. Perhaps we turned away from Him and we are now reaping what we sowed.
Of course, and in the end, it won’t matter, we’ll all be in the right place. BTW your kids are adorable! I miss mine being kids. We only had 3 but I would have loved a houseful!
Anyway, it just makes me really angry that the people who played by the rules, did what they were supposed to are now being handed a big bill and the security they built for themselves (not expecting the government or other citizens to take care of them down the road) is probably not going to be enough or maybe even there. However, that’s life!
It’s stupid to blame a generation, which is an artificial construct anyway, for any of this. Individuals vote, not groups. Heck my parents were members of the so called Greatest Generation. They didn’t vote for any of those clowns. My husband and I are so called Boomers and we (or my Boomer siblings) voted for any of them either. This generational warfare is just like class warfare. We need to stop grouping people and then pitting them against each other.
You are actually foolish enough to believe the boomers caused all our woes?
You need to educate yourself, dont let others tell you what to say or think.
I suggest you study the history of man, concentrating on the Americas
Come on....
What about those little things like the "Great Socialist" social programs introduced by LBJ born 1908, and Social Security from the 1930s?
Oh, I don’t know about that... considering that the start date for Generation X was 1961. And if you were in 8th grade in 1976, then you were born in 1962.
Making you an early Gen X’er.

So yeah, the Boomers cut their political teeth with Carter. Which tells us a WHOLE load about their ideology (in general, of course).
Boomers were born post WWII during the years 1946 and 1964. During 1976 I finished 8th grade and started High School as a Freshman, turned 14. Back then if you turned 5 any time during a given year you could start First grade. Graduated in 1979. Voted for Reagan in 1980 and again in 1984. Simple addition or subtraction works here.
