Did they forget her in the van or did she go out and get in it? Three years old, it is doubtful she could get in, but possible.My gut on this is, father took his music, hurried inside, thought sisters would stick together and look out for little one; sisters each wanted to do something, saw friends, etc. and took off without a thought. Maybe the little one was asleep and not noticed. Anyway, horrible tragedy.

Our son-in-law made a rule which I think is a good one. When their children were little, someone was made responsible for each little one, and when they handed off the responsibility, made sure the next one knew he/she was responsible. That way,people didn't just run their own way and assume someone was looking out for the toddler(s).

The article said she was playing with the other kids outside. They some feel asleep in the pews.I’d say she went back outside and got into the van.
