Representative Tim Walz will be in Rochester Monday to hear from southeastern Minnesotans about veterans' issues.
Walz is holding a town hall meeting from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. in Memorial Hall, room 223 at RCTC.
The public is invited to attend the town hall, and doors open at 5 p.m.
Congressman Walz, a 24-year veteran of the Army National Guard, is a member of the House Veterans Affairs Committee.
Walz hasn't faced voters on his Stimulus bill, Health Care Insurance reform, Omnibus spending bill, or any other issue that would show his lack of good judgement.
I grew up in the 1st district, any chance we can beat him? I remember it being a lot more conservative - certainly shouldnt be a safe democrat seat
I don’t know, but I do know that some whom I talk to who always vote democrap are very disgusted with his lack of individuality regarding things like health-care and spending, so there may be hope, perhaps those independent voters who voted for hope and change will finally get it through their heads what that change is and tell him they don’t want it.
The whole Mayo Clinic should vote against him for that ‘Health Care Insurance reform’, the ‘Government savings’ is their wages getting cut
Randy Demmer is the Republican nominee, not a strong presence in my estimation, though I’d hope he would have the intellect to exceed this opponent. Economics, Walz not reading bills he votes on, and Health Care should beat Walz, but being we had McCain, I am not confident of it as of yet.
