Looks like the boy’s “hope and change” has run out.
I have read about this case since it first happened here in 1993. Cantu was a horrible kid, who sat on his porch and yelled obscenities at young girls walking by. When police or truant officers came to his house, his mother was not interested. Such a tragedy for everyone. Cantu is just plain evil, and should be arriving in hell about now. Execution was 15 minutes ago. He is 35 years old now. Or he was until tonight.
The police caught these killers because they BRAGGED about this crime, and one of their brothers turned them in.
His time is Up??
And may the Lord have pity upon his soul.
I’m not a betting man, but I’d be willing to put money down on the proposition that this execution will be final.
“Final Execution Tuesday in Ertman-Pena Deaths”
Final? How many have there been so far?
Was this related to Jose Medellin? He was the guy GW Bush defended after the Mexican Govt whined before he was to be executed.....Medellin was involved in the murder of two teen girls with a bunch of other Illegal Alien scum
Thanks for posting those pictures. I now remember seeing a show about this on one of the crime channels. Names are a little tough but I never forget a face.
There have been two executions so far. Two of the death sentences have been commuted to life in prison, and one defendant was sentenced as a juvenile. Therefore, this will be the third and final execution in the Ertman-Pena murders.
From another article:
— — —
“Jennifer’s father made the drive here four years ago for the first execution. Derrick O’Brien, belted to a gurney, looked through the death chamber window at Ertman and other relatives of the girls and called his involvement “the worst mistake that I ever made in my whole life.” Seven minutes later, O’Brien was dead.
In August 2008, Ertman again climbed the steps to the red-bricked Huntsville Unit prison. Mexican-born Jose Medellin, 33, with needles in his arms, also apologized. Nine minutes later, he was dead.
Ertman rejected an invitation from Cantu’s lawyer to come to his office and read a letter of apology from Cantu.
“It’s a little late,” Ertman said. “I told him to stick it. Hell, no.”
Ertman will stand a few feet away, watching again through the window.”
It was just a normal club initiation that went “horribly wrong.” Isn’t that the proper press description of these things?
Two.
Yes.
I remember when these awful crimes happened. The killers weren’t the least bit repentant, laughing and joking with each other after the deed, and even when first hauled into court.
Say hello to your buddies when you get to Hell, dirtbag.
Can not.
Cantu.
