Favre lands in Minnesota; no word on whether he's returning to Vikes. (The Ego has Landed)

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn.(AP) Brett Favre is back in Minnesota, right on schedule.

For the second year in a row, the quarterback who spends his summers on the verge of retirement was driven to Vikings headquarters on the Tuesday following the team's first preseason game. Just like last August, news helicopters followed his vehicle from a local airport and dozens of fans and media gathered at the entrance to Winter Park to greet him.

"Circus in Winter Park," tight end Visanthe Shiancoe tweeted.

Nothing the Vikings haven't seen before.

He should retire after his stellar year last year.

“The Ego Has Landed”. Nicely done. I’m stealing it.

It’s not Favre’s fault ESPN and the rest of the writers are jock sniffers. These are the same guys who covered for Tiger Woods and kissed his ass for years.

Let admit it. Favre is the most charismatic quarterback to ever have played in the game.

Yeah, because he just made that trip for the hell of it. If it was just to be examined by team doctors.....they would have gone to him.

This bastid has been contemplating retirement for a decade. I’m sick of the question. To pasture with ya, Brett. Shoulda bowed out 2 years ago from Green Bay and had schools named after you. Now, you’re a Wisconsin expletive. “Farve You!”

A lot of hype for a player who only wanted to skip training camp.

If he hadn’t intentionally stuck a finger in the eye of the loyal Packers’ fans who had supported him all these years by going to the Vikings.

He betrayed the Packers fans by going to a team in the same division.

As a Packers fan, I say he can go to hell.

Green Bay was wrong to trade Favre to New York Jets. After playing for Packers for 16 years, I think he deserved the right to go to any team in NFL even the hated Vikings.

As a life long Vikes fan... I HATED Brett Favre.

When he joined and if he joins again, I will love him.... but not really.

I just LOVE the reaction the Pukers get seeing him BEAT THEM TWICE A YEAR.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

= P

Yeah, well, the NFLPA disagrees with you, otherwise they’d have done something about that in their collective bargaining with the league. As it was, he was still under contact acting like a b*tch and the Packers dumped him.

Now, they should have demanded MPLS first round pick that year but it turned out okay getting Matthews from the Jets.

It’s too bad Favre didn’t have his spine snapped last year. I guess there’s always this year.

And as a Packers fan, I expected and loved this:

Expect more of the same, if you get to the playoffs at all.

As a life long packer and Farve fan, I was dissapointed to see him go. And to all places, Minnesota! We deserved to get our butts kicked for letting a proven star quarter back like Farve go.

I hate the vikes but I like Farve so I’m happy either way it goes. Farve proved he’s a tough guy the way he played last year in the purple uniform.

Here’s hoping he helps Minnesota put something in that empty super bowl trophy case.

I hate the team, but Roger Staubach was more charismatic than Favre. Navy training gave him dignity and poise. Good conservative, too. (But I still hate the Cowboys)

You know, when Brett’s playing for your team, all the endless attention and the same stupid stories and film clips over and over every time he plays on tv are great.

But when he’s not playing for your favorite team, you see it for what it is. Sickening and repetitive nonsense.

He hasn’t done sh*t since 1996, unless you count giving up when it gets too cold or he’s too tired or f*cking up at the wrong time as “doing something”.

The man wants to play, so why not play? His theatrics and diva entrance aside, he proved last year he can still do it. And there’s the matter of fourteen or fifteen million dollars. What does the Vikings’ season look like without him? Tavaris Jackson at QB? Or an aged Favre?

That is exactly why I get such glee out of it.

The Packer’s should have NEVER just tossed him aside like that or let him go to the Jets the first time.

It is obvious to anyone who has a brain, that all he is doing with his “retirement” shtick is getting around the NFL’s “training camp” rules.

He fully intends to play. Maybe even 2 MORE years.

Unless of course he wins a Super Bowl. He would go out on top.
