So What Happens If The Ground Zero Mosque Moves A Few Blocks?

Pity the poor New York politician. Take Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who was merrily reigning over New York, banning bake sales in public schools because he doesn't trust parents to monitor their children's cupcake ingestion. Now, all of a sudden, just because he trusts a sharia-spouting imam with mysterious Mideast millions to preach peace and love at Ground Zero, the whole country is mad at him. Why, he can practically feel his plan to sweep to the presidency on a "Make Mosques, Not Cupcakes" platform crumbling before his eyes.

And spare a tear for forlorn Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer. A bland hedgehog of a man, he glowed with confidence that all he had to do was call his fellow New Yorkers "outright haters and bigots" for opposing a Ground Zero Victory Mosque, and they would clasp him to their hearts and crown him mayor. Now he's stuttering that he didn't know...didn't think...while waking up in a cold sweat at 3 A.M., realizing that every red-blooded American with a dollar will send it to whoever runs against him.

As the Victory Mosque for The Nineteen Martyrs debacle explodes across the headlines, New York's courageous politicians are running for cover, crying for mommy. Even ardent endorsements by Hamas and President Obama haven't helped.

Because it is an immutable law of nature that no New York politician will ever stand for any principle higher than his survival, the Great Do-Over must now be underway. How can these worthies save their darling little hides? What can they do to get that dang thing out of the headlines and lull everybody............

That is precisely how this infernal mosque project should be described time, and time, and time again.
Islamists are flipping us the finger with this vile effort of theirs. It must be stopped.

I truly believe that nothing less that making an explicit legal definition of religion will stop this problem.

Sources tell CBS 2’s Kramer that Gov. Paterson is concerned that Mayor Mike Bloomberg, a staunch supporter of putting the mosque at ground zero, and President Barack Obama, might be advising mosque leaders to dig in their heels and insist on the present location.

Religions in the US have never been allowed to engage in practices that violate our Constitutional guarantees and must abide by US law. Islam is more than a “religion,” however; it is a complete political and economic system, and it is a theocracy (where civil and religious law are the same and the ultimate political authorities are the clergy), which is at heart a rival political system. That is, it conflicts with our system and is its enemy.

Until Islam is honestly analyzed and defined as a political system, we will not be able to deal with it. Even the 1st Amendment doesn’t protect a rival political system trying to overthrow the United States system, and that’s essentially what Islam is and what it’s doing.

All the more reasons to have an “emotional” thinker such as Sarah Palin leading the country, a person who feels when the emotions are strong enough the laws can be changed or modified.

This is my comment due to the democratic liberal left claiming an emotional candidate like her is bad for the country, I think it would be totally the opposite, emotions will invigorate the economy unlike approaching socialism.

Islam will destory America, it only a matter of time. Watch Europe, watch our fate. Western Culture, the constitution and our law system is based on Judeo-Christian principles. Islam is anti-jewish and anti-christian. Look at any Mideastern country their form of government and the way they treat anyone that does not adheare to their religion or culture. Once you have a large voting block of moslems in this country they will start ripping the constitution and our law system down and put their own religious laws in place. All other religions and free speech will be ban. Even moderate moslems will put Islam above the constitution because Islam hate the principles of our founding documents.

I hope they do din in their heels. In Oct 2012 the sight of busy construction at the Victory Mosque site (including Recovery Act sign) juxtaposed against empty craters where the WTC and Greek Orthodox Church once stood will be a reminder of Obama’s dream for America.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: until the legal definition of "religion" excludes all compulsion and all inequalities for human status (i.e. men, women and children equally regarded as human beings), we will continue to have problems with totalitarian groups hiding behind the 1st Amendment.

IMHO the proposed site for the Victory Mosque for the Nineteen Martyrs is incorrectly being identified as not part of ground zero, and incorrectly being labeled as matter of freedom of religion and speech.

Secondly, we need to constantly remind people that Islam is not only a religion. It is also a political system. Islam as practiced by the overwhelming majority of its adherents micro manages every aspect of one's life and has demonstrated in words and deeds its intention to destroy the US and its culture. This is treason and needs to be treated as such.

In addition, Islam the political system and religion are entwined. There is a tradition of erecting mosques at the site of victories, e.g. the Cordoba mosque built at the site of St Sohpia's in Spain.

I heard something very similar from a young black manager at a fast food restaurant. The whole conversation started by him saying Obama thinks it should be illegal for him to ask ANY of his employees to prove citizenship when they are obviously not from America. The discussion ended with him saying that America needs to build walls across all of our borders, lock them down and clean house. Clean out illegals and muslims. Then clean out home grown terrorists. He was quoting conservative talk show hosts. QUITE IMPRESSIVE in Houston.
