Florida authorities have forbidden a church in Gainesville to burn the Quran on the anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks.

If the church burns the Qur'ans it would suffer a financial penalty. This is due to the municipal law in Gainesville, which prohibits the burning of books in public.

However, the church has announced that it plans to burn the books on September 11 in any case.

Florida school district bans Bibles on Religious Freedom Day
July, 1 2010

Maitland-based Liberty Counsel filed a lawsuit Thursday to overturn a ban on Bible distribution on public school campuses in Collier County.

According to the Liberty Counsel, the Collier County School Board allowed World Changers to distribute free Bibles to students during off-school hours on Religious Freedom Day, but now the school officials claim that Bibles do not provide any educational benefit to the students and the distribution should stop...

SO get rid of the Holy Bible and Welcome the Koran?????
You are right just WOW!

What is happening to our Country?

Well if the Church is private property why are they referencing the law about burning books in public? I dont understand why the church is being threatened with a fine I mean to say I undestand why the fine threat is there as in intimidation but it seems as if they do it in private the law would be mute——

“The ‘outraged Muslim’ mob attacks on Churches and Synagogs haven?t started in America as they are common elsewhere the Muslims have infiltrated or conquored... yet.”

Coming soon. Of course, the results in these parts (Texas) won’t be what they’re used to. And we’ll also probably be on the front lines thanks to our useless Southern border (thanks, Goodhair, even though you’re infinitely better than White). Still, they’ll find out soon enough that “Don’t mess with Texas” isn’t just a catch phrase.

Blue states, though? Even after Keller and McDonald, they’re still mostly unarmed victims by law. Esp in churches.

It’s going to get ugly. And bloody. Seas and messes of it.

They are probably planning to do it in the parking lot in full view of the public. The law is unconstitutional on 1st amendment grounds to begin with. The resulting law suite against the county should provide lots of new “material” for the church to burn in the future.

They should have a church BBQ and use it for fuel, to BBQ the pork ribs and so on. Anyone who brings a Koran to burn gets in free.

The American Flag can be burned but not the Koran?

The church should find some old, ragged American flags that need to be destroyed by fire and sprinkle in pages of the Koran.

To paraphrase Andrew Jackson, “the judge has made his decision, now let him enforce it.”

If more Americans took this approach, we’d see fewer losses of freedom. Al Pacino in “And Justice for All” said: “Contempt? I have nothing but contempt for this court.” Do’t we all?

Forbidden by whom? Do they own the book? Do they own the fire?

The bureaucrats and judges should be told to go screw.
