The White House was forced yesterday to reaffirm President Obama's Christian faith after shocking polls found that 1 out of every 4 or 5 Americans falsely believe he's a Muslim -- a considerable increase from last year.
"The president is obviously a Christian. He prays every day," White House spokesman Bill Burton told reporters.
"He communicates with his religious adviser every single day. There's a group of pastors that he takes counsel from on a regular basis. And his faith is very important to him, but it's not something that is a topic of conversation every single day."
A separate White House statement stressed that Obama's "strong Christian faith is what guides him" in facing the nation's challenges. "But he doesn't wear it on his sleeve," the press office added.
The president's flacks also complained that Obama's faith is "often maligned and distorted by critics."

That said; think the only reason Obama attended Wright's church; it was the closest thing to Islam and/or even Nation of Islam, that an ambitious Marxist/Muslim-hearted poser could get to.
And then there was Michelle, Obama's ticket to pay; for a connection to the authentically 'black' American; rather than his usual Middle Eastern preferences and their binding ties of friendship. . .

But maybe not too far off here; Mrs. Marion has probably has told him; if it were not for these efforts; HE would not be in White House; and/or threatens Obama, that he will not be; if she is sent home/lol(and he is still between a 'rock and hard place'. . .)

All else being equal I would much prefer an atheist in the office rather than a Muslim! I have never known anyone who claimed to be an Atheist who wanted to kill everyone who disagreed with his position on religion. I have never known anyone who claimed to be an Atheist who would keep young girls locked in a burning building because they were not wearing the proper clothing to go outside and save their lives. I have never known anyone who claimed to be an atheist who insisted on having a foot washing station at his job site so that he could wash his feet five times a day prior to sticking his rump in the air and wailing about his atheism.
Yeah, given that choice I will trust my life to an atheist before I will turn my back on a Muslim.

If Obama's friend nicely fills the Circe role, then she is almost surely grounded in the real-life person of Diana Oughton, Ayers' lover who was killed in a 1970 Greenwich Village bomb factory blast. Ayers was obsessed with Oughton. In Fugitive Days, he fixes on her in ways that had to discomfit the woman that he eventually married, their fellow traveler in the Weather Underground, Bernardine Dohrn.
Physically, the woman of Obama's memory, with her "dark hair, and specks of green in her eyes," evokes images of Oughton. As her FBI files attest, Oughton had brown hair and green eyes. The two women share similar family backgrounds as well. In fact, they seem to have grown up on the very same estate.
According to a Time Magazine article written soon after her death, Oughton "brought Bill Ayers and other radicals" to the family homestead in Dwight, Illinois. There, "she would talk politics with her father, defending the revolutionary's approach to social ills."
The main house on the Oughton estate, a twenty-room Victorian mansion, was built by Oughton's father's grandfather. Formally known as the John R. Oughton House, it was placed on the national historic register in 1980. Despite forty years of encroaching development since Oughton's death, aerial photos show the Oughton estate (103 South Street) with a small lake in the middle and a thick ring of trees around it, very much like the estate in Dreams.
